Lose Weight or Bulk...What One Do I Do??

I am beginning to lift weights again after a 10 year break. I know I am over weight and out of shape, but due to eating horrible the last 10 years I have lost all my muscle. I am afraid if I cut right now I will have no muscle underneath. Should I concentrate on bulking right now and eating more calories or should I cut right now and pray I don't look like a twig?

I would honestly start with a good balance of both. ease back into it with doing your regular lifts and at least 25-30 min of cardio, 3-4 times a week. And eating a good balanced diet and caloric intaken for your weight. That way u got a good building block and can start somewhere. Plus be motivated to hit the gym again.
