I'm week 2 into my 1st cycle, and I'm already thinking of my 2nd....I swore 1 and done.....but now I'm hooked.
Well, understand that the addiction of steroids is wildly different from just about anything else.
When people use harder drugs, like opiates and benzos, there is a huge spike in dopamine and serotonin to a supraphysiological point. With steroids and testosterone especially, supraphysiological doses in an of themselves isn’t addictive. What
is addictive, however manageable, is the modestly raised levels of dopamine, serotonin, libido, energy levels, etc. Higher androgen levels does equal amounts to the brain performance as it does for the body.
Let me mention something politically incorrect, but true nonetheless.
What sex (gender in a traditional sense) are the smartest people in the world? What sex are all of the “genius people” of our past?
Furthermore, do you know what happens to a prenatal child when he/she is exposed to high testosterone in the mother’s body?
Higher IQ. Testosterone supplementation will offer at least the same effect (as higher IQ) and it does so thru at least one pathway - the dopamine-raising pathway. Dopamine is what stirs up curiosity and as it turns out, when the brain is naturally curious about what it is learning, it has a much much higher retention of knowledge from the learning effort.
And higher IQ directly correlates to more wealth and power only the even better part about supra-physiological testosterone levels is you get the increase in brain performance AND you get the higher sense of well-being and mood-enhancement.
Smart people with otherwise normal T levels aren’t any happier with life, in fact, they are more likely to end up being crazy and searching for meaning in life, usually in “intellectual” pursuits. So being smart or getting smarter alone is hardly worth the effort, especially if you are trying to do so in a typical univeristy setting where you are surrounded by a sort of scientific, social and philosophical Marxist dogma.
I’m suggesting that taking steroids, especially testosterone, in copious amounts suitable for bodybuilding, actually increases brain performance over time. And if you supplement with other helpful compounds, train vigorously and eat well and read LOTS of material and write LOTS of material, your IQ will likely be increased and your brain will be in a heightened state of curiosity and learning - a self-fulfilling cycle of chemicals churning in the brain.
I’m also suggesting that we long for (and are addicted to) the passion and curiosity associated with steroid use, especially for those of is that are fairly level-headed and emotionally in-check. Androgen use just seems to create a bit more hyperbole of some of those areas. If the genera population knew about this, they’d be ALL over it. Personally, I wish they’d consider developing androgens and “SARMs” that selectively target the receptors that generate the benefits in the brain and sex drive (because those are intrinsically related) while making the anabolic cheracteristics take a back seat, perhaps only 1/2 the strength of Test in terms of estrogen conversion, prostate effects, cholesterol development, etc etc.
