LJ100 Question.

Picked up a brand of LJ100 with a hefty dosage for what seemed to be way too cheap. I know HP has some control over pricing, not to mention LJ100 being an expensive branded ingredient, making competitive pricing almost impossible. I also assume no one is dumb enough to rip off a trade marked name, ut this industry never surprises me.

HP doesn't have them as a company using their product but that list seems incomplete. Anyway to know for sure, or should I just contact HP?

It won’t tell you if it’s LJ100 or not, but you could try tasting it to see if it’s bitter. According to this study, and something I’ve also noted myself, “properly standardized hot-water extracts have a distinctly bitter taste.” The LJ100 info PDF from SupplySide West confirms this too.

So if it DOESN’T taste pretty bitter, then you may have a problem. If it does taste bitter, well, that doesn’t guarantee it’s LJ100, but it’s a good sign.

I've tasted TA extract. You're not wrong about the bitterness.

If I really feel compelled I will probably email HP and inquire, once I get the package.

LJ100 has a MAP of $29.99.

Idk if this applies to combo products, or if companies are allowed to run sales on it for cheaper. I’d assume a MAP is a MAP and can’t be cheaper than $29.99, though.

That was my concern. It's a 30ct of 300mg pills. Could be a blowout deal.

I see the brand you’re talking about. Worth just asking HP. Might be legitimate. Maybe the MAP doesn’t exist anymore. The SNS owner mentioned it in a previous thread (hence where I got the info).

I remember when Olympus Labs had it, they had 60 caps with 100mg a cap (6g total) for ~$35. This brand has 30 caps of 300mg (9g total) for cheaper. Like I said, definitely worth an email/call to HP.

Thank you. I remember the SNS thread. What had me most suspicious.

Guess I'll be back with an update sometime soon.

So this brand sold on Swanson is violating MAP? It’s this price regularly, and isn’t listed as being on sale.

Sidebar: just saw while searching that HP sells through their own brand a 15 cap, 450mg/cap bottle of LJ(450?). Pricey of course for 15 days worth. Just thought it was interesting - mostly see 100mg/capsule
