I actually tried to post on various health forums all to no avail but it seems there is a more informed crowd here.
A little background of myself. I'm 29, I used to have a cocaine problem. I'd binge drink and take excessive amount of cocaine on a fairly regular basis. I also may of done this at times whilst on steroids, including oral dianobol.
I've felt ill for the past 7 months now symptoms include but are not limited to severe fatigue, some days I've slept 14 hours in a day like I just needed to catch up. Dizziness at the height this was borderline vertigo which lead to an incorrect diagnosis of menieres disease. Sometimes I still feel pressure in my head/ears though.
2 weeks ago I went to my GP complaining the symptoms were just not getting any better and he ordered blood and urine analysis.
Urine came back with high lymphocytes (approx double the range)
Blood in urine (double the range)
Bloods came back:
AST - 324 (<35)
ALT -84 (<40)
Bilirubin - 35 umol/L (<17)
glucose was a tiny bit low but nothing to worry about and HDL was a bit low but again nothing I'm too concerned about.
At first I tried to convince myself it was because of medication betahistin I had been taking for menieres or that it was due to a heavy workout I'd had a couple of days prior.
Unfortunately I was tested again the other day and the new results are somewhat similar although AST has dropped significantly.
AST - 44
ALT - 81
Bilirubin - 25
But additional testing caming through this time which indicates calcium levels slightly above the range too. I've read that high calcium levels are linked to hyperparathyroidism but my Thyroid levels are all in normal range, infact everything else is in normal range.
I have an ultrasound in 10 days but I'm relatively worried and I'm considering paying for a private ultrasound to speed up the process amongst other reasons.
Im left clueless as to what the problem is. Any help is appreciated?
