Lithium Orotate

So I took 5mg about an hour before bed. I was relaxing on the couch watching Man in the High Castle with my wife and found that I didn't get the energy expected and maybe it is situational. Since we were just kicking it and there was no stimulation around, it wasn't noticeable. So I did end up falling asleep very fast and while it did not necessarily help me stay asleep (I tend to get up 3-4 times a night always at the same times), my dreams were crazy vivid. Each time I woke up I looked around the room for a minute and just thought, "whoa, intense". So there is little question LO had a play into this occurring. If I could keep asleep, this would be pretty fun and I can see with such deep REM.

Just wondering if there is any negative effects of combining tianeptine with lithium? As right now I'm hit a new all time low in shty things going on. I NEED full emotional detachment at the moment. As I frankly CANT handle any more and I know I have more coming that I WILL have to deal with. So I need to be fully detached if I'm gonna make it through. Also any recommendations of anything else I should add to help for atleast the next 3 weeks to get me through this shty period right now?!?!
Well, honestly the best thing would be prescribed benzodiazepines. Klonopin specifically as it has one of the loner half-life's and is therefore the easiest to stop taking/wean off. If things are getting that serious for you, this will do the trick like no other. On the natural side of things, Theanine can do a pretty good job as well as Phenibut. However, even phenibut causes some pretty harsh withdrawal so I would just go with the Klonopin.

So I've been on LO for about a week now. Played around with 5-10mg/day taken in the the morning (and early afternoon if 10mg). I never felt the energy or calmness. Now I'm starting to feel foggy and sluggish. It's weird. I haven't changed any of my habits and I don't think I'm getting sick. Maybe it's interacting with the clomid I'm on for TRT and/or amlodipine for high blood pressure. Either way, I'm going to call it quits on LO.

Anyone else experience sides like this?

I usually experience that if I take it during the daytime. That's why I take 10 mg right before bed. No daytime tiredness or brain fog that way.

Do NOT ever take advise from anyone recommending a Benzo, for anything. Tapering off K now for a year and its the worst experience Ive ever had, always try a natural solution first and then see a Dr. before taking advise from a internet expert.... Wouldnt wish this on anyone, rant over.....

I think benzos have their place but definitely not on a constant basis at all

Totally agree with you. I have lost several friends, not from death, but rather simply from changes Kolonopin does. It is one of the most horrible drugs available and pisses me off that this bull**** is approved.

I was literally just prescribed Klonopin lol for nights before big event when I can't sleep and am anxious. It's not an everyday thing.

All I can say is be very careful. It literally makes me sick to see doctors give this out like they do.

He's been pushing Ambien on me as well, which I never fill that prescription. I'm very hesitant of addiction so I will use it sparingly and only when needed. It makes it very hard for me to wake up the next morning too.

I took it the past two nights to get an idea of how it affects me.

PLEASE,leave that poison alone. Dont put another in your mouth ever if U can. Like Kisaj stated, it has changed me from a very outgoing self motivated person to someone that just wants to do pretty much nothing, no motivation etc etc. Just google or go to youtube and watch people who have come off it, very scary stuff. Tread cautiously and do your research.....

I will use it probably 3-4 times a month if that, so I'm not worried about it altering my personality or motivation.

Ambien is crazy stuff man. Seen people make sandwiches while sleeping and start eating them. Then put it down on the coach and go back to bed.

Update- I ended up stopping lithium again because it is just too powerful. I can't figure out a schedule that balances the very strong anxiolytic effects and allow emotion to be normal. My wife commented that I hadn't smiled in a week and that I seemed flat, and she didn't know I was taking it. About 4 days after stopping I felt awake again and realized I'd been a zombie. It was weird.

Very effective stuff.

It turned me into a completely different person after just 1 week. Total zombie. I'm never touching the stuff again

rtmilburn Indicated at the time that he was already completely overwhelmed and had even more issues on his plate to deal with. Obviously some intense anxiety which can quickly spiral out of control leading to depression and then you never know how low you can go. Trust me, I have been as low as it gets. While I always favor natural means, this is not the time to experiment. Klonopin DOES crush the anxiety and would be the best choice of all the Benzos to taper off of after he got through those next 3 weeks. Sorry to hear about the changes in the personality of your friends but I assume they are on it for good reason and it is better than the possibly that they would sink so low that they would not be around period.

I had a series of horrendous life changing events occur to me 10 years ago that started symptoms of severe anxiety and a dark depression that lasted a year. Klonopin played a major role in getting me through it. I also have a few people close to me that currently take Klonopin on an as needed basis with no issues.

Apparently my reaction is very different to everyone else's. I've increased the dose to 10 mg at night and 5 mg in the morning. Better sleep, decreased brain fog, and mood is a lot better (and more stable).

If been hearing this exact problem, is there any way to dose it as needed like a benzo?

Not sure. I just did some quick "research" with blinders - heard about it here, googled good reviews, and jumped on board. Followed the prescribed dose (5-10mg) and it was the worst I've felt. I also got very angry - to the point where I would snap in an instant. Then I broadened my "research" (I use quotes because I didn't actually read medical/psychological articles/studies) to look into negative side effects and boom, I saw that so many people had the exact sides that I was experiencing. It took about 48-72 hours before I felt normal again, but thank God I did.

I'm not knocking the product because it didn't work for me. Also, I should have educated myself more before jumping in. I'm sure if your brain chemistry calls for it, LO can be a godsend. But I will never touch it again.

I was seeing lithium aspartate at my local shop store but not LO. Any difference? Any one have experience with it or have experience with both?

You do not want aspartate, it is not good. Definitely the orotate form. If your local shop doesn't sell it, just jump online as it is very common and cheap.

I find that LO works incredibly well and am quite surprised it is an OTC as it is very powerful with regards to mood. Being very much acute in effect, I am thinking that it could be worthwhile to look into for people that don't have high SA or GA in specific instances, just to calm down and take the emotion out. For those with high anxiety, they could likely benefit from this more frequently. The fact is, it absolutely deadens emotions and is "robotic".

I give 2 thumbs way up for a product that works very well. It just isn't for everyone.

Maybe it would fit in the "conditionally beneficial" category. Something that can be quite useful in certain situations, but isn't something that you'd want to use all the time, like ashwagandha or nootropics like choline/racetams/etc.

Yeah, based on personal experience, I would agree with that. Not throwing it out, just need to see how it may be beneficial.

Hmm I already take lyrica which has a powerful, and for me positive, effect on mood. However it also potentiates the strangest things. Ashwaganda and me don't get a long and neither does any alcohol or even weed. Everything becomes so strong on lyrica i end up in bed trying to sleep. So I'll probably have to skip out on trying this, although I see benefits to being like Prozium from that movie to help you get through tough **** I'd rather be artificially boosted then flattened. I feel like emotional healing is just probably delayed by this, it sounds like me as a teen on paxil. Totally grey robot.
