Consensus is 0.8-1.0g/lb of bw and more won’t hurt

If you know your bodyfat %, base protein intake off of your LBM at about 1g/lb LBM. That should be more than enough if calories are sufficient for growth.

Only if cutting would you need to really bump the intake much higher, but that also varies depending on your level of leanness.

I'd recommend Alan Aragon's protein e-book for someone looking to learn more about all things protein. Probably the most up to date resource I know of.
