I don't mind then for accessory movements or variant type stuff, but regardless I would look at it like a different exercise. Like I may do SL TnG. and if I was going to touch and to it would be accessory and treated as such. Part of the reason I am in the habit of writing things like "competition deadlift" if I am gonna pull from dead stops and with a belt.

Thoughts:
Great workout today. Deads were flying (for me). This is what's great about being new to a sport, every day you're finding a way to improve. I'm really starting to find what works for me. I know I need to keep that damn head down though. Working on it.

Rest of the workout was a breeze. Stay strong AM.

That was actually 7 with my training max (shows you how quickly I've improved). With this variant, wendler calls for a final AMRAP set with your TM. Starting week 11 it'll be an AMRAP with my TM + a joker set + additional back off sets. Then week 16-20 is a peaking phase. Should be interesting. Thanks sean!
 
Nice! Don't be afraid to use straps on big rep days. I used to give Country a hard time about that, then I started doing more reps and about tore my hands apart.

Edit: technique looks spectacular. Reps looked explosive and smooth. Week 20 you better tug on 475-500

When I (rarely) video, I use 2.5# weights to hold the phone upright, whether on the floor for deads or on a bench/stool for bench/squats. I have to hit record prior to locking it in between the two, but that's an easy edit.

Just do me a favor when you do volume deads; pump up the jam, pump it up, pump it up, now pump it.

Should I just say screw it and pull 500 today? I'm warming up and feel great. Next week is a deload. And I'm only on week 9 of 20 so not like it'll affect the end results or anything. Answer quick! Lol

Got it. Right after I locked it out my grip failed so I would have got red lighted but this is the gym not competition. I'll post the vid up later. 60lb PR
