Leydig Cell Desensitization

Hey everyone! I've been just a reader of AM for a long time and I've learned so much! This will be my first post and I hope I posted it in the right place.

I've read many logs of people that don't add HCG during their cycles, is the desensitization of leydig cells during a cycle really not that significant so people don't care to risk it? And are there any studies that show the difference between a cycle with and without HCG?

If it is significant and will lead to people not being able to produce testosterone (or a significantly less amount) in the future then is there any substitute (like a legal supplement) for HCG for people that can't get it? I remember there was a product called Toco-8 but it's not sold anymore. But if it actually worked, there should be a huge market for it.

My last question is, does anyone know how long it takes for a cycle to desensitize your leydig cells?

it's based on my experience, most of user who didnt use hcg run their cycle 6 weeks at most, and mostly take just 1-3 compound, so the recovery isnt harsh enough to "had" to take HCG since SERM alone could get the job done. I consider using HCG when if it's more than 12 weeks cycle, using many compound, or anything that makes recovery hard

Thanks for the response.
If you check your test before a cycle and after you have recovered after pct, do your test levels go back to normal (what it was before the cycle) or do your levels end up below or above that level?
I know there are several factors that contribute to different levels throughout a lifetime, but have you seen any patterns that could suggest that you cannot fully recover because of the desensitization? The changes must be small enough to not affect you, I was just curious.
