This letter was received from Gropep regarding the purchase of their various products. If you are a research chemical business then this may be of interest. Also attached is their credit application.
As neither you nor your Institution have ever ordered from us before there are a few procedural matters that must be attended to before we can process any order. We will require you to fill out a Credit Application form (attached) as well as send us Company information that can be independently verified. This is standard practice on our part as Novozymes Bioreagents has been repeatedly approached by individuals who wish to purchase products for illicit use in the mistaken belief that they are useful as performance enhancement agents. Given that some of our Biotechnology Reagents could prove fatal if used inappropriately, it is therefore necessary for us to make every effort to identify all new customers so that our products are not sold to private individuals and/or used inappropriately. Novozymes Bioreagents reserves the right to refuse supply to any customer we believe may make illicit use of our products.
Hence, prior to your Company placing an order I request supporting evidence that your Organisation is one or more of the following:
- A registered University
- A bonafide Biotechnology Company
- A bonafide Research Institution
We will also require a copy of your publication record and the publication records of any co-workers involved in the research.
Please understand this request is not meant to be offensive. It is simply an effort to protect the reputation of Novozymes Bioreagents. We must therefore be satisfied that your Organisation will not make illicit use of our products.
NOTE: IF YOU ARE NOT A LEGITIMATE RESEARCHER THEN DO NOT BOTHER BEGINNING THIS PROCESS. THIS IS ONLY THE FIRST OF A SERIES OF CHECKS WE HAVE IN PLACE TO ENSURE YOU ARE WHO YOU SAY YOU ARE AND WILL NOT USE OUR PRODUCTS INAPPROPRIATELY. IF YOU CANNOT FULFIL EVERY REQUIREMENT WE ASK OF YOU THEN YOU WILL NOT BE SUPPLIED AND WILL BE WASTING YOUR TIME AS WELL AS OURS TO TRY. NOVOZYMES BIOREAGENTS WILL NOT RESPOND TO ANY COMMUNICATION FROM ANYONE WE BELIEVE IS BEING DISHONEST, IS PROVIDING FALSE INFORMATION OR MAY MAKE ILLICIT USE OF OUR PRODUCTS.
