lean muscle in a month

when ppl say that u can get only 2 pount of muscle per month when u are beginner is the meaning that u can get 2 pound of muscle include water skeleton etc .. or just muscle without these ?
so how much weight should i gain per month bodyweight ?

it means you can gain 2 lbs of "lean tissue" per month for th first few months when you start working out. unfortunately, lean tissue is pretty much everything except fat. so muscle, glycogen, and water
