I inject IGF-1lr3 in my lats pwo. Feel like a monster for the next 24 hrs. because of the pump.BOHICA said:Do people inject into their lats? I mean its a solid piece of muscle, but I never really hear of people doing it there. Any insight into this? Any insight or reasons why/why not would be greatly appreciated![]()

I went for the ventro for the first time on my first shot of this week and wow! Don't know what I did but damn, its swollen and hurts like a son of a bitch.Gethuge said:Join the club my friend. There's just something about certain areas that make me cringe when I got to stick the pin. Pecs is another spot I can't seem to actually pin.
OMFG! First time i went for Ventro, i was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay off and nailed something that my body just didnt like much. It was swollen for 1.5wks and the first 2-3 days after the inject, i could literally hardly walk and was one of the most painfull things I've ever experienced. I knew I hit a nerve, and that was the cause of the problems, but I had no clue when i hit it what was in store....must have been connected to the sciatic nerve or something...it was bad.Neuromancer said:I went for the ventro for the first time on my first shot of this week and wow! Ill give it another go though![]()

Thank you for that. I was more around the back, over the dimple created by flexing my glutes. Completely painless while doing it, but now I am wishing I would have went to my usual rotation spot in the deltGethuge said:Ventro has actually become one of my favs. It's easy to reach and aspirate for sure and it's usually painless. Here's what I've learned though:
1) Always make sure you are towards the front of your body and not toward the glute.
2) Take it slow. The shot is usually painless as can be but there are a couple of nice nerves there that can really put you through the ceiling if you strike one.
3)To find the right spot make a V (like a peace sign) with your middle and index fingers. Now lay the index finger nail (palm up) against the first illiac crest (the bump on your pelvic bone toward the front of your body. Then place the nail of the middle finger on the upper illiac crest (the bump at the top of the pelvic bone.) Now lay the back of those two fingers down on the side of your body with out moving your fingers from position. You should now have a V formed on your hip by your fingers. The correct spot is directly between the knuckes of both fingers, basically the center of the V.
Hope that helps.
Thats what I was trying to do, but apparently I missedkwyckemynd00 said:Odd...personally, i headed more "back" on my ventro shots that went easy. When in doubt, I flex my ass...find the gluteus medius and now I know where to pinI just find the "thicker" part of it and pin there.
Damn...well, to give you an idea of where I went, it was practically on the greater trochanter, but a little more forward and a tad higher. When I hit the nerve, my whole body shook like I was electricuted. LOL. That night...no so bad at all. A little sore, the next day BAD, day #2 was so bad I'll never forget it...lolNeuromancer said:Thats what I was trying to do, but apparently I missed![]()

I always stand with the leg relaxed to help the muscle stand out more.Neuromancer said:Yeah I realize now I was a little far around back too.
Do you lie down when hitting the ventro? Stand, sit?
