Where would I go to get blood work done to see where my test is at? My regular family practitioner or would he have to refer me somewhere? I want to see where I'm at before I start another cycle of anything.

You can go to a specialist but your family doctor abound be able to run blood test but you have to tell him what you want checked. Depending on who it is he might do it

You can order the bloodwork online and walk into the local lapcorp and have the results emailed directly to you without your dr needing to know about it.
 
Online. Order them online. Then they recommend where you can go in your area to get it fulfilled.

I have a great pcp. He can’t legitimately put me on it since I’ve been on it sans a script since 2016 and he’d want me to cycle off to see how bad my hypogonadism is naturally so he legally could treat it.
But the first time I asked for labs he of course had questions once he saw the results. So when I came in I was ready to go to battle with an arrogant, condescending MD that was going to tell me what I’m going to do with my own health.
To my surprise he works on the side with athletes, all of them using PEDs and of course hiding it from the sport organizations and anti doping groups. He had a ton of insight and knowledge, was super cool, gave me some spot on advice, and explained how he’d like to keep my healthy for the foreseeable future.
Also said my labs were not only great for a steroid user, but great for any guy my age.
I got lucky with this Doc.
