l-tryptophan in EAA's

Been looking at EAA deals and remembered some talking of l-tryptophan competing against the other EAA. Is it advisable to find a EAA product without it or does it not make much of a difference.

If you look closely at some of the bulk unflavored EAA powders, there is no l-tryptophan.

Endur3 has tryptophan. It's an undervalued amino with many benefits and I personally wouldn't want an EAA without it, even if it's in (naturally) small doses. IIRC if you skew your BCAA:Tryptophan ratio too much, it may negatively impact serotonin production, which we definitely don't want. I honestly wouldn't worry about it competing with other aminos for absorption; you'll find tryptophan in any complete protein; nature typically gets these things right. ;)

Thanks man, This what i wanted to hear. I couldent understand why 1 of the EAA would be removed, Surely it should be as its meant to be. Thanks, I have 1 Endur3 on the way to try :)

Right on. Did you go for Endur3 or Endur3+? Either way, let me know how you like it.

Yes, leucine stimulates mTOR; but no, on its own, it is not going to build muscle, significantly accelerate muscle repair and function. Why’s that? Well, your muscles are not made of leucine only. You also need the other essential amino acids histidine, isoleucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine, tryptophan, and valine.

Hiroyuki Kato et al., researchers from the Frontier Research Laboratories in Japan know that… obviously, after all, they work for the world’s #1 amino acid producer, Ajinomoto Co., Inc. That makes them potentially biased, but that’s a bias they openly declare.

I think it may also have something to do with the Tryptophan scare 20+ years ago if anyone is old enough to remembers that :)

Thanks so much guys, getting a deal in the UK with points and promotions for about a years worth of EAA's for next to nothing, So wanted to make sure.
