L-Aspartic Acid

I'm talking about the L version here, not D-Aspartic Acid (DAA).

Is it worth supplementing with?

It's dirt cheap and purpoted to help with energy production through some kind of ATP and NADH pathway so I thought I might pick up some powder and try it with my pre-WO.

Anyone here use it or have knowledge/experience with it?
 
Someone will correct me if I'm wrong but I think your body naturally makes it from oxaloacetate which is produced whenever you eat something.
 
Didn't find much info about it but went ahead and picked up a bottle of Source Naturals L-Aspartic Acid powder (100g) for about $5. I have been taking 1/4 tsp (950mg) before my workouts for the past week. I must say I've been pretty surprised with this stuff. Definitely gives me added focus and energy but in a different way to caffeine. It's very clean and jitter free. You guys should try this. It's nothing out of the ordinary but for the price it's more than worth adding to your pre-workout
