Knuckle injury Healing:

Hey Guys:

I had to get between two pitbulls today and lost some parts of skin on my right pointer finger requiring 6 stitches. I had to help my brother-in-law keep from getting eaten by his two loving dogs.

My question is, is there a way I can heal that part of my knuckle-finger so I can grip again ASAP? Tomorrow was back day, its leg day then I have to check in with wound care.

Thanks!

I am not an expert but maybe try keeping it wet. When I have a cut and go swimming or go in a hot tub it seems to help. For know could you put some kind of little pad on your finger and tape it so you can workout. Or try Neosporin I would ask the wound care doc when you go to see him

I'm a field expert on hand/arm injuries.

You need to let it heal for at least, at the very minimum 3 days, and re-asses with your doc.

I'm still trying to figure out the bold part, your brother was being attacked by 2 animals capable of killing him, and you "got in between" them?

So, it sounds like it's flesh between your knuckles. I've stitched that many times and needed it a few. Suck it up and let it heal or suck it the f8ck up. It's just flesh. IMO

Omen why does it feel like you soften up on this last post? You geting soft?????????

Thanks for the advice guys! I had my best healing by leaving it uncovered because moisture was causing all the skin the stiches were in to rot. So leaving it uncovered as much as possible was a saving grace, I figure I will use machines for heavier weights for the next few days until I think I can hold equal weights safely.
