knee injury...

I hit my knee on the ground at work the other day. it basically got to the size of a nice size orange lol. I went to the doctor and they told me i split a gel sac in my knee open and its filled with liquid now. cool. they cant drawn the liquid because my knee got infected from the trauma of the fall.i have to take a couple of medications to get rid of the liquid. So i can move it a couple inches and it hurts like a .SOB. I'm worried that i will not be able to lift legs for a long time.i can't even work out period right now. anybody have this happen to them?
 
My dad had a sliver of metal pierce his sack in his elbow and it got infected just like yours. It'll suck for a week or two but all will be back to normal in 2-3 weeks if all goes well.
