I noticed. Shammy is screwed; if Saku can flash KO him, then Kimbo is going to leave him in a coma.

No doubt. Shammy better just work the hell out of his takedowns, and with his busted knees that won't be easy. I really am eager to see what Kimbo'd td defense is like. I just hope Shammy doesn't get KO'd by the wind created by one of Kimbo's punches on his way in for a takedown.

Yeah, good call and I was serious about Cabbage being his next opponent. I noticed that even being at the bars for the last UFC with Lesnar, there was a different crowd on hand. People cheering when the camera showed Stone Cold. Not good.

Oh well, at least we have the first megamatch of 2008 in Hendo-Silva in 2 weeks. Also, maybe we can become pretentious Dream snobs, if that org really takes off.
The fact that Tank KO'd Cabbage not too long ago gives that fight little potential. Can't wait for Silva/Hendo. I'm already a Dream snob, Norris is not allowed to view. This should be in the fantasy matchup thread, but who wins a fight between Anderson and Kimbo. I know that's a bit of a slap in the face to Anderson, but the strength difference is huge. Still Kimbo would have trouble hitting Anderson, he'd get picked apart.

Anderson would truly destroy a lot of people standing, Wanderlei, Chuck, Shogun, Houston Alex. A HW might really swarm him and push up against the cage Sylvia style. I'd pick Anderson to TKO Kimbo though. I wonder how Page 2.0 would do against Anderson standing.

They may try to set up a match with Sean Gannon, the MMA dude who beat Kimbo in their street fight.

I don't think Page would do very well against Anderson standing. Page is good at not falling for Chuck's looping BS, but Anderson is nearly impossible to defend against. His striking is so precise and I think he'd pick Page apart. Although Rampage would have a good chance of taking him down and winning, better chance than Hendo has, which is damn good. How do you think Page would do in a boxing match against Kimbo?

I think Kimbo will kill Gannon at this point.

They both have that crouch and explode style, using a lot of hip power in their punches. I'm a big Page fan lately, but it's a tough one to call. I'd cheer for Page for sure and I guess I'd give to him based on experience.

Elite probably won't give him a legit opponent for a LONG time. They are making so much money off of him and the public's fascination with him.

I'm all about Kimbo, he fascinates me, but you make a very good point. Elite could dangle Kimbo in front of people for awhile and make good money off his fascination factor before people start wanting to see more legit fights.

With that said. I think the majority of the MMA fan base, I mean like national fan base, are entertained by beastly knock outs, rather then a less exciting, but on another level of technically & skill fights.

So I agree, it may be awhile before he gets a truly legit opponent.

Oh, did anyone else notice Kimbo has the upper body of a big HW and the legs of a WW. He'd weigh 255 easy, in shape, if he had any legs.
His upper arm is also bicep. Kimbo is definitely guilty of just working the beach muscles. That being said, his standup is definitely good. He moves well, his technique looks sharp, and he hits hard. I think he deserves some credit.

He's got a ways to go in regards to MMA yes, but Bas Rutten as his coach certainly works in his favor. Bas obviously see his potential and Kimbo's certainly got a good foundation to start from...the pitbull attitude.

He's just got to be careful who he picks on his way "up the ladder"

I just want to see Kimbo fight someone who is not a slugger, meaning someone who actually moves while fighting instead of being a stationary target. Kimbo obviously hits hard and moves well, but it is not that impressive that he can knock out someone that stands directly in front of him without putting up a defense.

My pick would be Igor, I would love to watch the little ball of meat knock out Kimbo.

I agree, but I think its fair to let Kimbo earn some more MMA experience. He's an established brawler, but still a baby in terms of MMA.

I think Kimbo has well above average natural talent and an insane killer instinct.

Id like to see them throw him against a big name right away, someone who isnt a brawler but has above average striking. I think alot of people may be surprised with what he can do. Im confident he would beat 50% of the HW out there right now, probably more. The only thing we havent seen is someone being able to back him up or hurt standing....if this can be done i think then will he be tested and we'll see what he is really made of. I mean, the guy just imposes his will on the other man and uses alot of aggression to finish them off. I know Tank isnt really much as of late and the rest of his opponents werent all that either but when i watch him i see someone who, like i said, would beat alot of HW out there.

I'm more inclined to agree with you because I feel the same way, but I said the same thing about Brock, which showed me just how much "MMA" experience matters.

Of course we could argue how Brock's win was potentially interrupted by a bogus call, but I'm just say'n.

A smart fighter would do 1 of two things against Kimbo. Chop him down with leg kicks or take him down. He has not trained long enough stop a well rounded fighter from doing either of those two things to him.

I was just about to state the same in regards to him being chopped down with say, Leg kicks. If he can grasp the training and concepts of MMA pretty quick, then he could be a very good fighter down the road. He has almost a lifetime worth of training to make up for in some instances! As of yet, he is obviously a wreaking ball in the stand up! I don't really think it is fair to say throw him in there with some of the top fighters right now, cause unless he knocks them out, they will pick him apart, take him down, and sub him! That would not prove if he is really a good fighter or not, it is too early for that. I would like to see him get some good training, and be able to put together a good package, so we can see some entertaining battles.

Wow, I love it when people vote after the fight is over, like the Chuck-Rampage poll that mysteriously floats to the top every 2 months.
