I dont know much about tanks work honestly and havnt seen much of kimbos prof. career either, BUT all that I have seen of Kimbo rockin that dude in that back yard brawl straight taking hits to the chin on purpose Id have to put it all on Kimbo. The man has power speed and great placement, hits everytime and now he has good proff. training? If he's conditioned in the slightest more so then the tank hes gonna just destroy him.

just watched the fight with him and blu? cantrell...im not sure how tank will take his punches but i do want to see some bombs being thrown, some Tundahhh!! Tank is talkin sh1t, that is fvckin awesome esp the part directed to Bas lol. Kimbo looks like he maybe to strong and quick for tank, they are both old but damn Kimbo looks in shape still.

Yeah, tank turned into a blob! Kimbo looks like he is in better shape than ever during his last fight with Mercer. You know, I'm gonna be honest.....when I first started watching Kimbo fights, I was like, pssst...he aint ****!! Yeah he's real tuff, fighting no body losers! But I have come to respect the man's devastating punching power! That fight where he let the other dude(which was a pretty big man himself) staight up whail as his face, and it did nothing, I was...DAMN, he aint no joke!! Besides that fight to the big white dude, which he completey gassed out, he has destroyed people, including Mercer. I thought the Mercer fight might have been better, given it that Mercer was a freaking hard hitting heavy weight his whole life, but Kimbo dominated him even in the stand up! Kimbo duz bring da tundahhh!!!

Spoiler Below

Kimbo hits hard and seems to have a good chin, now lets see him fight someone with a ground game. Quadros/Mauro mentioned that he might fight Shamrock next, if Shamrock whens his Mar 8 fight. Seems like a good next step for Kimbo. If he beats Shamrock, they should have him fight Junior Silva, but that's probably a little premature. Can't wait to see Kimbo's td defense and ground game. If he is good at either he's gonna be trouble for a lot of guys.

Yves knee was nasty. Smith/Lawler would be a nice fight. Their are some hard hitters in EliteXC's MW division, Baroni, Smith, Lawler, Hose. Rogers is a big monster, and JT's warwagon should be heading for the hills. Rogers/Kimbo would be another decent option. Junior was injured so I guess that explains his lackluster performance. Ricco is no slouch though, and he fought well, and looked much better. That said, I really don't think Junior is the man to dethrone Fedor, not appenin bruv.

whats it gonna be like when someone knocks kimbo out? I think its very possible but not many guys out there that would probably pull it off. I see him losing by sub more than anything else or maybe GNP stoppage. Now im gonna look for the fight.....anyone get it, post it!!!

Now how does this make Mazzagatti's over reaction look? Kimbo didnt get a point taken.

damn. he was hella pounding out the back of the dome. im guessing that was before the KO. That just doesnt look good....Mazagatti is probably smiling and laughing about it with a middle finger in the air.

The gif makes it look a little worse. The first punch was more to the side of the head, the second landed but wasn't that hard, and the third he kind of pulled up on. It really wasn't bad at all.

cant find the video.
Try PM'ing Volcom or maybe Norris. I watched it on Showtime, but those guys might be able to help you out. Everybody's probably sleeping though, maybe Norris is up destroying Ron Paul or Obama supporters on various forums.

Or making a Brock Lesnar Tribute video/man porn.

I asked Volcom on that other thread....

I saw this fight. Unfortunately, it was the main event when there were better fights more deserving of that title. Boring fight in my opinion. Tank stood in front of him and did not move his head at all so the outcome was obvious.

Yeah, I agree! Those shots were not as bad as they were made to be....I think, LOL! Kimbo hits like a freakin Mack truck! I knew Tank was not going to last too long in there!

Why does everyone act like Kimbo has such crazy power?? Cantrell and Tank are not known for their iron chins. Now, if he does the same to Minotauro, then that's a different story.

It's true that he hasn't proved his power against an iron chinned fighter, but dude hits haaard. I can't think of anyone in MMA that hits harder. Not saying their isn't but no one that I can think of.

I would bet that Aleks, Zentsov, or maybe even Arlovski can hit just as hard.

Those are good candidates. I would give Kimbo the edge against all of those guys, but I could be wrong. Clearly they're all much better fighters than Kimbo, but as far as sheer punching power, I don't know?

The KO blow on Tank looked pretty nasty. A direct hit to the chin that looked powerful. Tank had a good chin back in the day from what I remember, but not so much these days or he just gives up after a few land.

I think he hits fairly hard, but we'll see if he has Sokoudju-like KO power in future fights.

Old school Igor, how dare you forget. :nono: :nutkick:

I would rather have Kimbo GnPing me than Brock for sure.

Gina Carano kicks some ass on AG, huh?

One thing about Kimbo that is not proven, but I believe might be true, is that he has a great chin, allowing him to use his power with less consequence.......at least better than AA's chin.

Igor's power was overrated, Bueno?, big whoopee:twisted:

I don't know about that, tough call. Brock can control you better but he doesn't hit nearly as hard as Kimbo. Kimbo is pretty technically sound, has horrible intentions, and is powerful.

Carano?

really though Kimbo just destroys guys with those hits, now you throw out names of other hard hitters that might give him some comp but really they are all seasoned fighters there, Kimbo just has some raw talent and is barely tapping into refining it! Just watch with more and more challenging fights and good training this man wil soon be the one everyone else is getting compared to.... as long as he doesnt lose any moral from a loss or burn his career out fast... wich with his enthusiasm I just dont see happening. Id love for him to face someone at the top tier like in his next fight, see where he really stands.

He lets some dude clock him on the chin a few times in one of his fights just to prove how tough he is. I think his chin is legit or above average. At least as good a Thompson's

Not talking standup, I'm talking GnP. Brock's looked powerful as hell...like he might kill Mir.

Elite probably won't give him a legit opponent for a LONG time. They are making so much money off of him and the public's fascination with him.

the other thing is he can MOVE, in the same fight spoken of where he takes like 3 to the chin he then ducks another like its nothing and drops the guy.... hes got great stand up.... I wonder how well the side of his head would do with a big kick as opposed to straght on chin shots

I really wish they would, In all honesty i think a loss right now would be great, if hes ass driven as he seems i think it would make him rethink some things and really step up his game and get more tools in his arsenal.... or just show with a win that hes really able to bang with the big boys.

He's not ready for top tier at this point. He'd get subbed by a decent jits guy.

I would like to see him fight either Ricco or Bigfoot next.

I knew what you were saying. Most people look like they'll kill Mir when he's on the ground, even weaklings like Pedepano and Vera. They'd both be scary to have on top of you, Kimbo can hit harder , but would be easier to control. Standup I'd rather fight Brock for 5 rounds than 1 minute against Kimbo.

I don't think so. Kimbo has a long way to go. It'll be very tough for him to catch up to good ground fighters that have been training the ground since they were 8 years old. This is a guy that during his street fighting career considered ground fighting to be "cheating". He is a talented slugger, but to say he will soon be the standard in MMA is very premature. Not saying it isn't possible, but not very likely.

im sorry soon was the wrong word to use.... I should have said eventually.... but I think hes extremely talented and If he kicks his BJ training up into high gear i suspect hed pick it up fast and be a big threat..... although I do agree he brings an unwanted element to the game right now I think many may los interest if he turns into a more well rounded fighter instead of just a brawler and we'd be left with another talented individual that IMO is entertaining to watch.... I wonder if he'll stick in the game long enough though to make it to the UFC as a real fighter and not just a one sided fighter in these flashy showdowns.

I agree about him being entertaining. We've seen nothing of him on the ground, so we're just guessing at this point. He's a strong guy and could be difficult to take down or to keep down. That's his best hope, to fight Liddell style. If he's not difficult to take down, then he'll probably never make it as an elite HW. He might fight Shamrock next, who has average takedowns, so that will be interesting. If Shammy can take him down and keep him down, he's probably SOL.

Oh, did anyone else notice Kimbo has the upper body of a big HW and the legs of a WW. He'd weigh 255 easy, in shape, if he had any legs.

Pretty much. He brings a horrible type of fan to MMA.

Yeah, good call and I was serious about Cabbage being his next opponent. I noticed that even being at the bars for the last UFC with Lesnar, there was a different crowd on hand. People cheering when the camera showed Stone Cold. Not good.

Oh well, at least we have the first megamatch of 2008 in Hendo-Silva in 2 weeks. Also, maybe we can become pretentious Dream snobs, if that org really takes off.

I noticed. Shammy is screwed; if Saku can flash KO him, then Kimbo is going to leave him in a coma.
