Last lower day at PowerStation. I'm going to miss this place a lot.

Fûck it has been a pain in the ass trying to find a gym. Seriously no one will answer their damn phones. I found one gym with a mono and they're wanting $60/month and a 3 year contract. Ridiculous.

If I have to start walking weight out again, I'm going to be pissed. :firstworldprobs:

Edit: Actually, the worst part about walking the weight out is that my stance now is too wide for any power rack I've seen.

I bet my rack would be able to accommodate your squat stance. Try to find a gym with a Texas Power Rack (at least that's what I believe mine was called). It has a widened base for sumo pulling and is shaped like this a little bit: <=>

I'll ask around...if anyone decides they want more business. Thanks for the note.

I'm contemplating building my own garage gym, like you have, when I move again to a semi-permanent location. Monolift, power rack, bench, DB's that go to 150, bars, platform, bands, and chains. That's all I need.

It's worth it as a long term investment. Monolifts are expensive, I'd look for attachments for the rack if you decide you need one.

DBs are still something I'm looking for, I'm thinking about just going with some power blocks to save space.

I'm not sure if you can tell from this picture bit that's what the base is like.

I've seen those attachments. But, our gym has 2 monolifts and our owner has 2 more in storage. I think he would sell me one for a good price. As well as a lot of equipment. He has well over 250k in equipment.

Dumbells are definitely expensive and take a lot of space. I don't know if I could settle with the power blocks.

Meh, the gyms on post had the power block dumbbells and they were pretty good.

ME upper:

Bench:
225x5
275x3
295x2
305x2x2
315x2
245xAMRAP- 12
245xAMRAP- 9
Didn't have a spot, so I played it conservative. 315 felt the best it has in a while. That's a good sign.

OHP:
155x5x3- I absolutely suck at OHP. I'm one of the few that's OHP has zero carryover to bench. I've gotten weaker on them and my bench has gotten stronger, and I have gotten stronger on them and my bench has stalled.

Floor press:
225x10
235x8
245x6
255x5

NG cable press down:
x35
x25
x25
x25

Shoulder lateral raise to front raise back to side raise and down x10x3

Pec deck: a lot

Pretty solid day.

All moved into my apartment in Indianapolis. I have had a hell of a time finding a place to train. Luckily, the only gym in Indianapolis that has a monolift is 20 min away. Unfortunately, I had an appointment to speak with the owner yesterday at 2:30 and he never showed up nor called me back.

Oh, I trained at a Y today. My God..

The good news is that you did train. Give the owner another chance, if it doesn't workout then move on to another. Suppose to be a good gym in Carmel(?) just north of Indy on 31.

Oh, I feel like I don't have a choice but to keep giving this dude a chance. He has a monolift..enough said.

I'm looking for gyms in Carmel and I can't find anything aside from commercial type gyms. Any idea on a name?

Not sure of where it's at in Carmel. A few years ago I spent 6 months working in Kokomo and a guy at the 24/7 gym was telling me if I was ever in Carmel there was a great gym there to work out at.

I went to a Y in Clarksville TN and it was loaded. Checked them out here and they are tiny 3k sf gyms, but prices higher than the top commercial gyms. No thanks.

Lies...

For the foreseeable future, yes.

There's just no way I can settle for lifting heavy at this gym. I'm super salty right now, so I'm going to stay positive.

I'm going to take this as a temporary opportunity to keep dropping BF, become a man-dime, and work on some hypertrophy. Before you know it, I'm going to be slipping on a man thong and painting myself orange. :watchout:

You better get swoler than a mothafücka then!

Dammit, who am I kidding. I had a boo hoo day. Then, I saw a guy without legs working his ass of in the gym. I got over my situation immediately.

ME lower:

Front squat:
315x3x4

Rack pull:
585x2x4

Leg press: a lot of sets. Lol.

Banded hamstring curls

Leg extensions

Calves

That's it.

On a side not, I'm loving the new job. Learning a lot about how to run a business. And I didn't think Indianapolis had places this nice. It's like a damn utopia. Everyone's happy go lucky and wealthy as hell, haha.

Back at it today with a DE lower sess.

It's been a hell of a ride this past month. A lot of changes, but the future is looking better than ever.

I'm going to be making a program shift here shortly. I'm leaning towards 5/3/1, being that, a decent amount of volume would be in my best interest.

Quite frankly, my weights have taken a hit since leaving my former paradise gym. Actually walking weight out, and using a stiff bar with iron plates has been the contributor to that. Though, I have gotten better with that, and it's certainly not going to slow me down.

Here shortly I'm going to be writing out a well thought out program, and being more mindful of the quality of calories.

I've been following everyone's logs, just haven't contributed much. That will change as I smooth into this transition and get my feet back under me.

I'm loving 531 SVR with mountain dog style accessory work, FWIW. Quite a bit of volume, too.

Nice, man. I'll have to look into that version of 5/3/1.

If it interests you, I'll send you my excel spreadsheet. It calculates the lifts for you.
