This is going to be a log detailing my journey back to fit and beyond. A little backstory..

I am 27 years old. Lifted weights since I was 17 off and on until 23. During that period I had multiple injuries, many due to car accidents. Consequently, I spent a lot of time on pain medication. Little did I know that long term opioid use will lower testosterone. Anyways at 23 I started lifting seriously and got into pretty good shape. When I was 25 I was having all the symptoms of low testosterone so I got tested. My levels consistently came back below 200 so I was put onto trt.

After getting trt dialed in a ran a couple of mild cycles at 400mg/wk and had amazing results. Shortly before I turned 27 I injured my back badly. I had herniated 3 disks and injured my sciatic nerve. Needless to say I had to stop lifting for a while as I was literally stuck in bed. During that time I went from 209 lbs at 11% body fat to 165 and chubby.

The last 3 months I have been lifting again keeping the weights light and being very careful not to injure myself again. Slowly adding weight back to the bar and prioritizing form. It is a marathon for me at this point and not a race. I have managed to get my weight down to 158 and at the same time dropping a TON of body fat. I am in much better shape now and ready to start slow adding back calories. I have been off of the testosterone since my injury last fall, but I am about to start back on it. I wanted to get body fat down first and build a foundation while practicing lifts and perfecting form first.

I am thinking of running 400mg test C a week for 16 weeks then dropping back down to my usual 140mg a week trt. I still have plenty of adex on hand and I can get a refill from my dr as well.

Anyways, I will be posting workouts, progress, thoughts and anything else that crosses my kind that I would like to journal. I'm looking forward to each new day that passes and getting into even better shape than I was before!

Its definitely been a challenging ride, but I believe dedication and perseverance will pay off. I've been there before so I know what it takes to get back. I just have to be much more careful of injury this time. Ill post a pic of current.. like I said I was getting kind of fat at 165 and through carb cycling and lifting I have dropped to 158 and am getting fairly lean again. You can tell I'm carb depleted in the pic but it definitely helped shed the fat. Can't wait to put the mass back on though!
