I do not believe this to be true. Fructose (the type of sugar found in fruit) is only stored in the liver and is not stored in the muscle. Fruit gives you some good energy for before a workout...but as far as the pump...I would say no.
Depending on your body type/metabolism and how you process carbs, dextrose can really help with this (gatorade powder) or some ground up oats or waxy maize.
the only other possibility that comes to mind is the vitamin C and other antioxidants.
it's been shown that vitamin C has affects on NO levels, as it prevents the breakdown of NO allowing for potentially a better pump.
this is a long shot though since there plentybof other fruits (orange) with higher vitamin C content, but you mentioned an apple.... and you'd probably want to take N.O. along with vitamin C to get the true benefit.
Yeah, true. Pinch mentions vitamin C having an affect on NO production, but I agree with him that the affect would not be that noticeable on it's own. I would assume most vitamin C will be derived from diet and multi, and should be sufficient. Yeah...stick with oats, my man!!!
