Keeping Up With The Yates': A Couple's Training Log

Yates will yell "Go. Go. GO." I'll tell him we still have a red light, and he'll say, "Oh. Stop." Then when I finally go he yells, "GREEN LIGHT!"

My Dad had a really short fuse & was a yeller. Honestly, that's why I do my best to do better by my son. I love my Dad dearly, but walking on egg shells, as a child, waiting for the next blow-up was never fun.

My dad is the same and I am so much like him. I was always afraid to have kids because I didn't want to treat them like how my dad treated us. I try extremely hard to be patient with my nephew. The awesome thing is that babies and kids love me. ????

I thinks it's different if you are really aware of it. You can be more conscious & present in the moment if you are more aware. Kids love yates84 too. They gravitate towards him. I always say kids are like dogs when it comes to instincts....their instincts about people are usually right!!! You're good people, Puccah!!!!

It felt really good to get back in the gym this morning. The break & time with family was really nice...and good for me...but it was nice to get back on the grind this morning.

I waddled out of the gym. I feel like my CNS & muscles really needed the break, as I had to really push through the last few sets today...which was actually nice. I'm already sore. So, tomorrow should be fun. Now, I've got to really reign my eating back in. Although, I was still sitting at 120lbs this morning...even after eating whatever I wanted for almost a week.

It wouldn't be that bad if I didn't have a 3 yr old to keep up with. I'm glad hubby is going with us to the park today. If I had to chase our son, it definitely wouldn't be pretty....as I'm still waddling!

yates84 has been at it for about 9 years. I had started joining him at the gym before getting pregnant. Being very high risk I wasn't allowed to do anything...including being on my feet for extended periods. After baby, my focus was on him...especially during the first year. So, I've only been really serious about lifting for a little less than a year now.

This seems like my wife. I want her to get involved with me but she has little desire to. I won't push it but it would be a great time

Everyone starts their journey at different times. I stopped pushing my sister because she would get pissed and resist more.

I don't really push her per say. She was getting into the treadmill and such drinking BCAA and what not before Christmas so I bought her some leggings, sports bras, and new running shoes and such. She took it all back lol

Don't push, she will eventually come around. It took YatesWifey04 a good while to start lifting with me but once she made the decision she has been fully committed ever since!

She'll want to catch up to your gainz/ results sooner or later. :) My sister bought a size 3 pair of shorts a few years ago so it could motivate her to train. It's in her attic now. Lol

I agree. It's just a level of companionship I desire more than anything else. It will come eventually.
 
Ugh.....my nagging wrist that was feeling so much better while on Osta is hurting again. We finally are getting some cooler weather...so not sure if it's just from that or if it's just the pain coming back from being off cycle. Damm1t!!!! Back to wrist wraps I guess. :( :(

It's been a bit uncomfortable, but I really noticed it a bit ago after typing on the computer for a while.

Completely understand! Back to the wrist wraps for you! Mine usually bothers me during bb curls.

Hung out in the gym way too long this morning, had to talk YatesWifey04 into grabbing me an intra workout honey bun! It was delicious. Started my new diet and so far it's going good! Off days are real low carb and workout days have all my carbs intra and directly post workout. It's basically an expirament, kinda made up something to try but it is helping me by making me count calories again and get away from the see food diet. Until next time...

Completely understand! Back to the wrist wraps for you! Mine usually bothers me during bb curls.

MK-677 + either Infinite Labs Joint Support (great anti-inflammatory ingredients) several times per day, or high dose Vital Labs Joyful Joints before & after training. My clicky wrists have come good, but they still give me grief on heavy preacher bench so I tend to avoid that. Haven't had to regularly strap my wrists for a couple of months now. Blessed MK & joint supps :fing02:
 
Since I have been on MK my joints feel GREAT, I am getting near the end of this run and don't want to stop!!!
 
I don't think I can run it forever

Studies showed mk to still be effective after 2 years of continuous use. How long have you been on mk?
