IndyCar racer Justin Wilson is in critical condition after being hit in the head by a large piece of debris during a race Sunday evening.
IndyCar tweeted later that night that Wilson had suffered a severe head injury and was in a coma, listed in critical condition "while undergoing further evaluation."
The debris broke off Sage Karam's car when Karam spun into the wall during a race at Pocono Raceway. His car veered left and directly into an interior wall. Wilson was swarmed by the safety crew and airlifted from the track.
