Just signed up for my first MMA match.... need advice

it wont let me post any links untill i have 50 posts so just follow these steps

my myspace profile, and then click videos and its the one that says my first MMA match should be on top of the list

im surprised at all the negative feed back you all gave, it took me awhile to find someone who filmed it, this wasnt a joke at all i was a normal person asking for advice lol Other then back out...what kind of fighter starts off being a chicken?

and thanks flobot for just giving advice like i asked for i appreciate it

This was quite prophetic. There were so many chances that even a white-belt BJJer would have snatched.

The only advice I can give you is to learn how to defend an underhook because the entire fight it was open, but I assume that the other guy didn't know WTF an underhook is.

Just copy/paste into your URL everybody...stop being lazy.

Looks like your Judo was a huge help for you. Congrats on your win bro. Don't take peoples neg comments too seriously. It's just that none of us know ya and well, it's more likely for someone to step into the ring for the 1st time unprepared. Rodja tends to be our resident guru, but there are quite a few others here that have good knowledge in this area. I only have a couple school yard brawls, Marine Corps Martial Arts Program (MCMAP) training. All in all nothing in the competing realm.

I did try the myspace thing... Seriously didn't work for me. Maybe I blocked myspace on purpose because I hate guidos, whores, and hoodlums....

At least throw it on youtube or something.

I got a bad computer virus a couple weeks ago. Machine is still not the same... I'll check it out at work tomorrow.

Regardless, I'm glad the OP had a successful experience. I think we all overreacted to a poorly written post is all. It seemed kinda funny at the time. Apologies if I offended.
 
Just saw the fight, you demolished him, and you looked good doing it. Good job keep training!
