Now that's what I like to hear. The family wants to start buying and slaughtering but hard to know what's a good deal and how to choose the cow. Grass fed is expensive but high on my list.
 
Are you guys in need of an another awesome (and handsome) logger? :)

Yea prices vary town to town and state to state :/ but when choosing a cow just think of it as judging a contest you want a muscular and proportional animal but make sure it has a little fat (for flavor) or buy it as a calf much cheaper you can even slaughter it young for veal or let it grow up and you can make it as muscular as you want (with exercise) haha up to you though

I live in Corcoran,CA and where famous for two things farming (mostly cotton) and our prison (Charles Manson lives there) haha but it's a small country town wbu?
