he took it very seriously, i think i remember him saying he was really stressed out and his relationship with his son had soured and he wanted to have time to work things out-props!!!.759 winning pct%!!!! Best in NFL history minimum 100 games. BOOM
lets face it the NFL and sports back then was a escape from lifes everyday ups and downs including politics, and were great entertainment.....madden was entertaining with a capital E.As good as coach he was .. his commentary was the best ( some of the stupidest/sillest things were said by him .. that made you chuckle or be like omg is he serious .. couple quotes )
"Team with the highest points usually wins"
"if the Qb throws the ball in the end zone and receiver catches it .. its a touchdown"
"AL : robert horry is going to be here and show up in the 4th qtr
Madden : no, no he is already here i saw him in the tunnel before the game"
i remember hearing these live and how can you not lol at these .. and the way he says it you know he was dead serious or just a fantastic actor.
100% agree ..miss the days or even pre covidlets face it the NFL and sports back then was a escape from lifes everyday ups and downs including politics, and were great entertainment.....madden was entertaining with a capital E.
i miss those days.
i miss the old days of the cowboys vs 49ers rivalry...a lot of guys on my ship were from texas and crazy about the cowboys, so i became a diehard montana/49er fan--made those games very interesting, lol.100% agree ..miss the days or even pre covid
Remember when there was no kneeling during the National Anthem? Better days...lets face it the NFL and sports back then was a escape from lifes everyday ups and downs including politics, and were great entertainment.....madden was entertaining with a capital E.
i miss those days.
as much as i am tempted not going to turn this madden thread into a political thread--would rather keep it to the days of madden when politics weren't a part of the NFL.Remember when there was no kneeling during the National Anthem? Better days...
I miss those days too. I haven’t watched an NFL game in 5 years and don’t plan on watching one any time soon.lets face it the NFL and sports back then was a escape from lifes everyday ups and downs including politics, and were great entertainment.....madden was entertaining with a capital E.
i miss those days.
back in the day monday night football was a event--many bars in indianapolis would offer free wings-it was a competition to attract all the guys and some gals back then to watch the game...as i get older my memories of those days becomes even clearer--maybe that's why so many in my generation could relate to Make America Great Again--to us those were much better days.I miss those days too. I haven’t watched an NFL game in 5 years and don’t plan on watching one any time soon.
1st I heard about Dan....it's been a tough 6 years for NFL.In addition to Madden, Dan Reeves also passed away.
Tough week for the NFL.
