Purple Wraath Final Review

First I wanna thank Sean1332 and Controlled Labs for sending me a tub of the Cotton Candy Purple Wraath. Was a great run.

Lifting Program: Mountain Dog Program 3 (4 days a week)

Cardio: First half was 3-4 miles walking on lifting days. Second half was 9-15 miles biking week days and some weekends.

Mixability:
5/5
No blender bottle so I use an old 28oz Gatorade bottle. 10 shakes and there are particles on top still. Wait until it settles and then shake for 20-30s more and it's all dissolved. No foam like other BCAA products. Loved that I didn't have to wait long to drink it.

Taste:

Kinda tasted like a pink G2 to me. Overpowering for me at 1 scoop in 28oz of water during a workout. Dropped it down to .3-.5 scoop in 28oz and it was very refreshing. 1 scoop in 28oz was good for preworkout and post workout. Also good for being fasted while at work.

Recovery:

Killed it for me. Only had 1 bad day of DOMS and that was after heavy leg volume, a failed 405 squat and 8 miles of biking. Every other day I was ready to go each lifting session. Loved it. I'd be able to go 5-6 times a week when I had the time and I had no trouble recovering. The addition of EAAs to my normal supps definitely had an effect as I noticed quicker recovery in and out of the gym versus my bulk ModernBCAAs.

Other Effects:

3 scoops periworkout gave me an added pump bonus over my normal preworkouts due to the Citrulline Malate. Didn't really get Beta Alanine tingles that I noticed. TMG had a nice effect in combination with the BCAA/EAAs as I was less fatigued and felt like I could spend forever in the gym. I was routinely adding extra exercises into Mountain Dog like front squats on leg days, hex press and overhead press on chest and shoulder days.

I think Controlled Labs has a killer formula for Purple Wraath with all the ingredients working together. Next supp order I'll definitely be getting more
 
Hypermax Review:

Got my sample and split it in half. Half on arms day on Friday, half on leg day on Saturday.

Taste:

Very light taste. Not overpowering at all. Mixed it in about 10-12 oz water. Had a faint fruit punch taste. Someone else said it tasted like smarties, I'd agree with that. I usually can't do very sweet or strong flavors before a lift so this was great

Mixability:
5/5
Very easy to mix up. No particles after about a minute of shaking. Just mixed it in a Gatorade bottle so no blender ball necessary

Energy:

On Friday I drank it at 5:20 am when I woke up. Left the house and biked 3 miles to the gym. Kicked in about 10 minutes into the ride. Very nice. Smooth energy. No crash. Felt the effects for about 6-8 hours. Usually I'm tired by lunch but Hypermax kept me going. No stimmed out head feelings with half a packet. Leg day was busted out with a large amount of volume. Energy the whole time.

Pump:
3.5/5
Not the best pump I've ever gotten on either day but that was a good thing on leg day. Muscles were full but it wasn't skin splitting like 2 scoops Fitmax with added nitrates. I think this would be great for performance and strength since I was able to keep full ROM on arms day when usually my bis and tris are so pumped I finish with partials.

Overall

Very nice preworkout. It'll be up there for me in terms of energy. I need to pick up a tub to make sure the effects last but I'm sure it will. Great for strength days. I'd love to run it at 2 scoops to see how smooth it is and to see if the pumps are more apparent.

Thanks Performax for sending out these samples. I've tried every product you've came out with so far and loved them all. I think you guys got another winner

Thanks Kat! Left the house 20 minutes late this morning due to me being lazy and not wanting to get out of bed. Had to condense the workout so I felt like hitting the lats from a couple different angles in a superset would do the trick. Definitely felt the burn

Slept in today. Had my cousins over at my grandmas til about 11 yesterday. Usually need about an hour to unwind so it resulted in me getting 5 hours of sleep when my alarm went off. Went back to bed for an hour and a half. Arms tomorrow. Legs Saturday

Haha that's rough man. I shoot for about 6.5 on weekdays and 10 on weekends haha. Need my sleep!
 
Oh wow!! That's so exciting then!! So glad you got to see them!! Well worth missing a little gym time! I need my sleep too- I crash by the end of the week after only getting 5 hrs throughout the work week. I like naps too!
