Jim: Performance is King Log.

lol you'll get used to the fasted training, 90% of my workouts are fasted.

Feeling sick as ****, this fasted training **** is for the birds man.

Yeah, feeling your pain. I have done some 24 hr fasts and I think once I tried one on a bending day. That was the last time I ever fasted on a W/O day.
I thought I was gonna pass out, I got so light headed 1/3 of way in.
I think I drank a bottle of kefir to get thru it.

I don't do it with near enough frequency to get used to it lol.

Ended up coaching the other guy through his workout (he was short on time before he had to go to work) and eating a little pizza (there goes that gluten free thing lol) and then doing mine.

I did some aminos and pizza lol. Feeling much better now.

So basically what you're saying is.....eat whatever you want, lift heavy weights and foam roll.......I could totally go for that strong man stuff if that's the case lol.

Max Deads

Warm-up: foam roll, work up to 335 x 2

Work: 345 x 2, ugly reps, feeling sick.

Eat pizza, coach.

275 x 2 (much better technically), 315 x 2, 345 x 2, 370 x 2

That's my planned opener, wasn't extremely fast off the ground, but it wasn't hard. Right between what I did recently for 4 and what I did for 2 (365 and 385, respectively)

Front Squat: 185 x 8 x 2, 205 x 8 x 2

a1. NG Pullup: BW x 10 x 4
a2. Band Facepull: Red x 12 x 2, black x 12, Red x 12

BB Rollout: BW x 12 x 4

Also, did some conditioning this morning.

Sled Pushes: 65# x 10yds x 3.5 minutes, 95# x 10yds x 4 minutes

It'll all make sense when I upload the video lol.

Tire Toss: 16# x however many

Did these to practice for the competition in February, they are an event for that one.

Yeah, I had tightened my belt a notch a week ago and it was affecting my deadlift setup. Too tight es no bueno.

Ya I hate it, I'd rather pull with no belt than one that's too tight. Why I lean towards training fasted from time to time, no random bloating or slew of other variables

not too bad really, but depends how you do it. I mixed it with carb backloading so when I lifted earlyish (1-2) I felt just fine

I did it in the Army (because waking up earlier than I already did just to eat was stupid).

Hated it then too. Although, not the fasted thing as much as the stupid training thing lol.

Vid pulls looked pretty strong dude. Bar moving first, coming up right at the start, straight line. Looked tight on your work sets for being hungry. Ha ha ha

Good stuff

Hey watched ur deads on YT, thought your hips were just a tad high. Not by much and less on some reps, but I think you could get some more power if you got them a little lower. Good training and strong work bro.
