Jim: Performance is King Log.

Buddy, buddy, buddy. Like any weight class sport, the goal isn't to make weight. The goal is to be badass at that sport. How are you going to lose 15lbs and become a more badass powerlifter in the baby stages of your career? Aim for the top side of the spectrum.

Dave Tate took 6 months to drop from a fat (18%bf) 300 to a shredded 265. It took him about 20 years to get to 300. It would have taken him 1,000 years to get to 300 by cutting. Maybe even 2,000.

Smoker likes the idea of being small forever.

Word. I was thinking about trying to compete at 198. I'm 213, no way I'm cutting at this stage. Great article.

Holy Jesus.
That food intake.....

Yep, that much food for 6 months at a time or until his bloodwork **** the bed.

I dunno what you guys are talking about. When I weighed 190, it was occasional schmediums and larges all day.

Nope.

Not this guy.

I wore medium at 145, the bigger and stronger I get the less I like tight shirts. I used to wear UA at 145-150, now it annoys me.

I prefer bigger clothing, I don't like feeling constricted. Especially, while lifting.

I said they are comfy. 90% of my shirts are larges because the big sleeves on xls and xxls annoy me. I need someone to make a shirt with an xl body and medium sleeves lol.

Ill wear a compression shirt under a larger t most days. Or wear a large white t shirt. Nothing too fancy.

Hey country, I have a solution for your XL sleeve problem. :D

Get bigger arms?

How about they quit making shirts for fat people and make shirts for normal people. Lol. Short sleeve shirts shouldn't go to my elbow either.

Show me a big bencher with a small back

Big totals are made from big backs and big legs, big anything else is secondary.

<-- still trying to get big everything else.

Oh, you got me. Big back is the starting point, then big legs. Then you're gonna need something to lock that big bench out!

DE Squats.

Pre: 1.5 Enhanced
Intra: Water

Warmup: MASH lower, LAX Ball glute/ITB, Work up to 135 (+2 Double Reds), HF Stretches

155 + 2 Double Reds x 3 x 6

Oly Squat: 185 x 6 x 2, 245 x 6

a1. GHR: BW x 15 x 2, BW x 14 (moved forward one hole, couldn't do all 15 lol)
a2. Front Rack Alt. Lunge: 65 x 12, 75 x 12 x 2

Reverse GHR Sit-up: Red Band x 15, 16# KB x 10 (5 per arm) x 2---BW x 5

Strongman, Heavy OHP.

Axle C+P : 150 x 3, 160 x 3 +over/under 170 x 1 (plus a second clean).

That is gonna take some practice, the over under continental clean is a bitch. Got it to the chest but felt like I was gonna pass out so I didn't even attempt the second press. Wish I had bigger hands to hold that axle lol.

Stone Triple Extension x AMAP in 45seconds: 150 x 6 x 2

Dat skyrocketing heart rate.....

a1. Farmers Carry: 150 x 30yd
a2. Tire Flip: 340 x 20yd

For speed, shoulda used the 550 because the 340 is such an awkward tire. Very tall, but not thick so it's hard to dig the shoulder into and a lot of leverage is lost.

b1. Machine Row: 100 x 6 x 3
b2. Band Facepull: Red x 15 x 3

Then stayed to help setup and spot his PLing meet.

Fun day! It's amazing how much harder strongman days are.

You're a fcking machine...
Thanks buddy.

I'm working on it lol. All that unracking and reracking has got to be good for loading in competition lol.

Wife competed and went 7/9 with 190/125/215. Locked out a 245 DL but it was a hitch. Need to work on her lockout strength.
Hell ya man
Yeah buddy.

Love/hate Saturday's lol.
Here here
Oh ****, I forgot my round table and knights uniform!
Fun day! It's amazing how much harder strongman days are.
Yeah, it certainly doesn't take much lol.

Don't know how you guys can eat ice cream, I try but always end up just choking some down because I need the calories.

Not appetizing at all.

You are not human.

Ate Coldstone yesterday and had a bowl of vanilla with crushed up snickers and butterfingers in it

Ice cream is my weakness. I always have some in the freezer. :D

Idk, recently I've tried the cherry vanilla (which I used to really like) and cookies and cream. :puke:

I won't buy MCC because I'm mildly allergic/intolerant to chocolate.

I've had the most success with sherbet, but there just aren't enough calories in it.

Ah that's beat man! I love my MCC. Very true on sherbet. It is tasty though.

Continental clean you wearing a belt? I know you don't have a gut to rest on it and technically you cannot rest it on the belt. But when I learned it, I was told you can clean it past the belt, let it slide down a tiny bit to the belt then clean to rack position.

No belt.

I didn't use the belt cuz I knew I couldn't rest it there and don't want to be DQed for it in competition.
