Thanks for stopping by trauma1. I have been going back and forth about upping the dose going into week 3 to 75mg/day for a while now. My thinking that when that 3 week time frame came around the dosage would be up and the effects would be more pronounced. I guess I'm still debating at this point but am looking for all opinion and advice on the subject.

Would this make me have to change my PCT at all? It took me some time to figure alll that out and I was pleased to have it all nailed down at the start of this run. But being heavier still makes me wonder about dosages.

I've dosed Halo at 150 with good results. Anything under 100mg is a waste, for me atleast.
If you increase, your PCT will be the same. Just remember - Time ON should equate to the same length PCT, IMO. Then combine those two and that should be a good idea for your overall Time OFF.

Basically, rev that cycle up!

I agree. I liked it at 100mg/day the best. Next time i run it, i'm going to go a bit higher to assess any more pronounced effects.

My PCT was a breeze with Halo. I used a SERM "Toremifine" though.

So Iron lungz, you are saying to up the mgs and I won't have to change my current PCT plan? I know you did say that but after reading so many conflicting opinions I am eager to hear more reasoning behind your statement. This talk makes me think a 5 week cycle of 50/50/75/75/100 would make more sense? Or am I just getting ahead of myself?

Keep the opinion and advice coming guys. I am truly thankfull for all the help.
 
just a quick update.
had a fast and furious leg/ shoulder day. in and out as usual. felt good. recovery times were good and the pumps were solid.
I have been feeling hot and thirsty lately. that and I have also been a bit lethargic. I blame this on getting back to work so I am not overly concerned. but I have been getting to sleep regularly and just feel tired in the early afternoon.
My joints are feeling better though i did order some stuff fro NOW that should be arriving shortly.
My weight is about the same even though I have been eating a cleaner diet. I feel good and lifts are strong so I feel good.

Again a brief update.

Had a solid back/bi workout this AM. Back was feeling huge and the weights all felt easier. I had a wicked pump and felt that I could have gone longer but we were done for the day.

Overall I'm feeling good. I feel like I'm getting tighter through the skin, especially in the shoulders and chest. My recovery times between sets has been better as well.
Tomorrow AM will be a heavier chest day to get a feel for any stregth that has been gained.

I'll post anything interesting for sure.

Just a quick pop in. It is week 3 and the last official week of 50mg/day. I am ready for the 75 and the results to start. I have noticed my shoulders and chest seem more pronounced. That and I will get a "pump" from just holding my arms up or contracting a muscle for a few minutes. It's not a bad thing but noticeable.
My schedule got rearranged a bit and I missed a day which will be made up today with a heavy chest run. I may want to guage some strength as I have been doing a higher rep scheme for a while. Chest is my favorite part to test anyway. just a man thing I suppose.
But I did get 3 sets of 8 pull ups for the first time ever last back workout. I have never been able to do pull ups and this was pleasantly surprising. I have always been able to bang out dips with the best but pull ups were rough. So that was exciting for me. It doesn't seem like a lot but I check the guys who are doing them and none of them look like me.

So I will blast the chest and check in again. I am ready to see the changes when the mgs go up. Feeling good all around.
 
So.
Right after the chest day and did it feel GOOD! I may be ahead of myself but I felt pretty frickin' strong today. Hit some flat benches and went heavier after sticking with a higher rep scheme for quite a while. But the weight went up and I actually hit a PR, 405 for 6. very pumped! This was also with a limited rest period, shorter than normal when going heavy so that was good.

Then we went through the rest of the workout and killed it. Incline DB's and all the other type of chest stuff. Then blasted tri's and we were out. home by 6:15.

But I am starting to feel tighter. I have been getting pumps from doing nothing. While benching I was get a little crampy too. In the lower back and in the abs while pushing through. Nothing major but noticeable tightness.
Would this be a reason to up the taurine intake? I feel tight still from the back workout from last friday so it has me wondering. Though it was heavier than previous so it may be due to the change in lbs and the same rest between sets.

Other wise all is well. I'm almost too busy reading the Thundergods new thread to keep up with my own! Love it!
 
So after not updating this is where I'm at.
Started 3 at 75mg/day. I'm starting to feel a bit of a back pump constantly which is a bit annoying. Like I'm always coming off the hyperextension machine. Its worse if I sit for a while but will tighten after standing too. Not really much of a happy medium there. But its not bothering me sleeping so thats a positive.
and speaking of sleepy, thats been me lately.Can't make it to 10! Asleep around 9ish everynight with my alarm going off at 4:30. So thats a bit of a drag as well. I am off all caffeine and stims at this point and have ben for quite some time. The tiredness is just a mental battle.
But overall I feel good. Recovery time is definitely improved. Water intake is still 1.5 gallons a day or more. Food is still consistent. I'm tearing through ON protein like its my second job.
I'll be banging out some legs and shoulders tomorrow so we'll see how that goes. See if the back pumps are an issue within the leg routine.
I'll update again sooner than this last time. Life occupies my time!
 
Just a check in after a legss/shoulders blast.
I had some serious pump! More so in my shoulders/front delts than anywhere else. Almost to the point of pain. I had to really stretch hard during the workout. I didn't change anything but the pump I got during shoudlers was crazy. My legs were pumped especially hams, but the shoulders were the tops.
I also have some continuous back pump too. I just ordered more Taurine and it will hopefully rectify this issue.
I am noticing that I will get pumps from doing nothing more than holding my water up to drink? Weird right? The front delts were annoying to deal with because it slowed me down because of the extra stretching. But I pushed through and had a decent lift.

I will be back later on in the week for more update.

Anything other than Taurine to squelch these blasted back pumps? Its the only side that I have really had. Other wise this has been a positive run.

I have upped the Taurine intake and the back pumps have gone away. Much better than before. The only other side I notice is the annoying pump in my front delts I get from doing basically nothing. We'll see how today's workout goes, back and bi's, with all that.
That and I have had a libido drop for sure. Just sleepy and want to sleep not even tear off a quick piece. No problems getting it up but wanting to do it has gone down for sure. Luckily the wife cares not because it keeps me off of her so I guess its a win for her as well.

I will update again post workout.
 
A post workout drop in.
Had back and bi's last night. back went well. strong and a great pump until I foolishly did some hyper extensions. IDIOT! Talk about a back pump! I could barely stand up and could not get it to relax. I was struggling through some bi's but had to quit because I couldn't stand straight enough to do the curls. HORRIBLE!
I came home and took 5 g of Taurine immediately and laid flat for a while and it loosened up but that ride home was not fun. But the back work was good and we will be hitting chest this afternoon at some point. Life gets in the way of my gym schedule sometimes.
 
Life did get in the way and I didn't hit the chest until this morning. Woke up and banged it out.

Bench day and back to a reps scheme. I had completed the pyramid the previous rep day so I moved up at the starting weights by 10lobs. Did the 12,10,8,6 and made all the sets. Though I was alone and went a bit fast on the first 2 sets so the last 2 were a bit harder than I thought they should have been. Next time I will pay closer attention to the clock. But the recovery time between sets has been quick so I felt good.

I did the rest of the inclien stuff and dips and tri stuff and was out. Felt good. Had a wicked pump in the tri's. I have noticed for the most part really pronounced pumps. Not only in the BACK but in the specific areas that I am working. Though I will be keeping the Taurine intake high for the rest of the run.

And speaking of that, this is the last week officially. I just ordered the PCT stuff I needed and should have it all in time for the start of PCT next monday. I am ready to have raging wood again which I have noticed has been missing. Though I had some extra curricular activity, it wasn't as it was. Which was mildly disappointing. That will return quickly I'm sure.

But on the whole I am happy with this so far. I have gained a bit of weight but look leaner in the shoulders/chest/arms so it has worked to what was expected I believe.

I have been getting pumps in my front delts from doing NOTHING! Like i was shaving and had to stretch! Crazy. It is borderline annoying, more so now than before.

Today is legs and shoulders so we'll see what goes on. Last week and then into PCT. Feeling good. Back pumps are less but still lingering.
 
So after another F'D up scheduling week I made it. Back and bi's this am. felt good. solid pump. I have been feeling achy a bit? like pumps that are unstrechable if that makes sense. In my shoulders especially. but the stregth is good and the workout was good.

I will blast chest tomorrow for the last day of the cycle and then monday starts PCT. I am ready for the back pumps to go away as I am eating Taurine and Potassium like skittles. I pee so often I feel like my Grandfather. but that is really been the only negative.
that and I never got the crazy libido spkie that I've heard from. more of a lethargic feeling of maybe I'll do it but don't really care to fight for it. weird. Hopefully the post cycle support gives me a little jolt back to normal in that arena.

I will give a final summary in my last post after PCT and everything is through.

A last day of cycle stop in.
Felt strong after back and bi's yesterday. solid blast and out.

Today was chest nand in my second to alst set of flat I felt a "twinge" in my right pec. got real sore real fast. I am now really bummed. I was banging out some big weight for reps and felt this pinch. not happy.
needless to say i stopped all pressing and just did tri's but couldn't even squeeze through that. Pec is sore. but no visible bruising so we'll see.

Overall the time has been good. lots of stregth increase and endurance. and I'm up around 10lbs. 305/07? I was on a calorie cut before and did a pretty clean bulk while on. more protein and healthy stuff.
but this pec thing has brought me down bad. we'll see how it goes. I will keep the updates through PCT.
 
the pec is pretty sore today. even a slight squeeze or flex of the chest and it pinches good. sucks. I will be hitting legs and shoulders today and will see how that goes. obviuosly no pressing motions during that time so whatever.

but my mood is low for sure. nothing like a set back to bring you down.
 
So I am in the first official PCT week and have decided to take a week off to rest the sore pec. It has worked out well so far because I have been swamped at work and other life stuff has been arising.
But I will hit it back next week and test out the pec. very light of course. the rest of the parts can be worked just as hard.
It's just a real bore to have a set back after such a successful first run. But I am feeling good other wise.

Any final thoughts or conclusion for us? I'm about to start my very first run of DS/PH/ETC and it will be CEL H-Drol similar to what you did.

I used cycle support AM and PM. The taste is acquired but to have everything in the scoop that you need is really conveinient. Otherwise, I had Taurine and the regular staples of any solid plan mixed in. I listed them at the beginning of this log if you want to see them all.

PCT
I went OTC for this starting with ost cycle support. 2 caps AM and PM. Then on day 14 there will be lean extreme and then 6oxo at day 21 on a 3/2/1 weekly basis.

that was the worst part of this. I kept my water at 1.5 gallons/day minimally and it still didn't matter. These seemed to happen more when I went up to the 75mg/day dose. I did get the other annoying pumps in the front delts which would make everyday activities like shaving a pain, literally. I also had some libido drop. I think that came with the lethargy side of things but there was a lessended interest. When it happened there wasn't a real problem rising but it wasn't as rock as it once was. The climax was delayed which was nice but the interest level wasn't really there. Good thing I'm a married man and the wife never seems interested anymore so it was never a big deal.

Strength
This went up during the mid 2nd to the end of the run. it would probably still be going up if I didn't pinch the pec. I was hitting some PR'S in different lifts and that was great. The recovery time between sets was up as was recovery between workouts.

Growth
I was on a restricted diet going into this so the 10 pounds I gained was from upping everything when I went on this. I ramped up the protein intake as well as allowing more good carbs. None really after 6 PM. BuT I did notice my upper body was much harder and there was some increased vascularity.

Mentality
I was a bit sleepy. Like I could come home and nap everyday with no problem. But the gains in the 3rd week helped motivate me to want to hit the iron hard. There has never been a big motivation factor for me but this added instant result helped push a bit harder.

Composition
Definite gain in muscle. I also had some nice recomping effects as well. More of a lean look to my upper body. Vascularity increased as well as my calves were popping.

Diet
I kept a high protein lower carb diet throughout. I would have a cheat meal once a week to satisfy the evil in me but it was pretty tight throughout. High water intake throughout as well. Lots of chicken and veggies and good carbs.


Recommend
I would reccommend this to anyone who wants to start out. It was enjoyable and predictable. After all the research I did and all the logs and guys I talked to I was ready to make this move.

Matty - nice log. Been following TLake since the beginning as well. One question, how did you try to combat lethargy, anything in particular and how pronouced was it?

As far as the lethargy, I didn't really use anything to combat it. It was there though. Every day I could have come home and taken a nap with no problem. I also wasn't on any stimulants at all at the time to try and see what the direct effects of the H-drol were.
So, I took nothing but it wasn't that bad.

Would you advise anything? I will probably do another run in the spring time and would like to have some additional supports to add in.

I like the approach you took keep this a "pure" log. So many people get a few weeks in, can't keep discipline and start adding and tweaking with so many variables that you can't tell what did what at the end. TLakes log is also money for the way he stayed true to his intended program.

Stims are something that I am always cautious with in conjunction with anything that might affect blood pressure. While some people say A doesn't affect bp and B does, I always error on side of caution.

My theory is if the condition is manageable, then deal with it, why add another stress on your body you dont have to have?

With that said, I am a big fan of RPM for a little pick me up when I have to have it as it doesn't wig me out, always delivers a mild, smooth energy kick with no crash. (And NO I go not rep any company whatsoever, I just like it).

Again, well executed log. You preplanned well, took all the right steps to maximize safety and it sounds like you got some solid results. Nice work!

I did sort of steal TLake's format by following along in his log for so long. I liked how he kept in consistent and to the point while there were many off shoots and different topics he would keep the updates coming and I always felt I knew where he was in his training.


and Thanks for the heads up concerning the RPM. and even better when you said it was from personal preference and not some product pitch. I'll look into that for sure. I used to use staight caffeine for a long time but I think it lost its edge because I was on in for so long. Now if I have a coffee I can feel that sweet sensation again so it is working.

and thanks again for the compliment on the log. I did try to stick with it as much as I could. I am still feeling well, knock on wood, and should continue to.

So.
Back to the routine after taking time off last week after pinching the pec.
hit legs and shoulders today. Felt good. Strength was good and rest times were the same.

The only thing is that I am DRAGGING. Tired almost all the time. Drove to work this AM with the window down to stay awake, and it was raining! I am starting the lean extreme next week so I hope that will give me a little boost in the energy department. I have been off caffeine and other stims for this entire run and it is almost been the death of me. not a fun thing to withdraw from, as many of you may know.

Other wise, things are going well. Felt good and banged out the routine. My legs are burning up now. can't wait to go down stairs tomorrow.

Banged through a big back and bi session yesterday AM. The back was feeling huge! big pump. Still feeling quite strong during this PCT time with no noticeable strength decline which is good.
My joints and pumps are also getting back to normal. No more stretching during shaving. and the blasted back pumps that were driving me crazy are gone too. I may even attempt hyper extensions again for lower back work next week. worst choice ever last time but now I have no tightness in the back.

Over all things are going quite well. Lean Extreme gets added tomorrow. I have one question on the dosage though. How many per day? I was thinking 2 AM and then 2 in the afternoon? Or would it be better to take 4 total and spilt them up throughout the day. I am staying away from it after 4 in the afternoon. I was going to take dose 2 around 12, lunch time.

I'll keep updating on the effects of that as weel. then day 21 the 6oxo starts as well. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel with this first run. good times.
 
So the Lean Extreme has started. I don't really feel anything from it. I take 2 caps in the AM and then an other 2 around 11:30. then I had 1 yesterday before the session. I feel a little warmer but thats about it. Should the dosage be increased? I looked for some info and there wasn't a consistent dosage to be found. I will stick with this until further notice.

and speaking of the session. My own stupidity brings me down. I worked out with a couple buddies and it was a chest day. I had a pec twinge the last chest day which was two weeks agon. rested it last week. felt good. did warm up sets and actualyl extra warm ups. got into the working sets and felt fine. got to my last set and BANG! a kinfe going through, worse than the last time. had to have the bar pulled off my chest. horrible! hurt so F'N bad. felt like a total jackass. couldn't continue at all and limped through some tri's at the end. but all due to getting too fired up too soon after injury.

So we'll see how things go. I will rest this thing for a minimal month and see from there. I will stay away from the heavy weights and reps that were working so well for me which is also depressing. have to go back to baby weights and rehab this thing.

But the rest of the routine will go on as planned. and PCT is going well so far. feeling good besides the obvious.

I will keep the updates fresh as I move forward.

LX is there just for cortisol control,
and 3 caps should be sufficient, 1 upon waking, another one approx 4 hours after, and 1 last thing at night. These are the times when cortisol peaks.
Taking more than 3 can cause dry joints for some users.
It's not a stim, so taking it late at night shouldn't cause any problems.
 
Thanks for the advice on the LX Pyro. I will switch up the dosing scheme for sure. I don't need any dry joint issues. I am already old and crealy enough.

I'll change and share the difference for sure.
