I'm a 35 year old man and would like to turn some fat into muscle. I have been working out at the gym for about a month. I lift weights about 30 minutes 3 times a week, and jog on the tread mill about the same amount of time. I have lost a few pounds and am starting to gain muscle but I am wandering if there is a good supplement I could try.

Yeh,no need for any supps at this point other than maybe whey. Even that shouldn't be counted as a supplement. More of a convenience food than anything else. Just keep at it man. Make sure your diet and training are on point. Post up details and maybe some of the more trusted members could critique. And I'm pretty sure you've found this out by now but lipids can not be converted to protein...

Supplements won't help you lose much. You have been working out for a month, Try to gain as much muscle as you can for six months, then do a cut where you reduce your calories. You are in your newbie gain phase, so you should pack on muscles quickly during this period and muscles burn calories. Your body shape will also change in six months.
