Is plain old GMS as effective as stuff like HydroMax?

I remember when Glycergrow was king of the GMS supps, and NP put out a bulk powder that was nice.

Nowadays, I see patented stuff like Glycerpump(Glycersize) and Hydromax.

Are they worth the extra money versus plain old GMS?

no problem with plain old GMS but its abit struggle to get down a spoon full :D we are spoiled with hydromax today, its just alittle milky

I've only tried glycerol syrup from the chemists, couldn't tell for sure if it made any difference when added to my pre

Never tried the prior glycerol monosterate.. but current glycerpump / hydromax stuff is a staple now in my cabinet with pre-work out for consistent pump. Plus it's a light sweetener when added to pre-work out as well.

Glycerpump so much easier going down especially in pills; imo just as good endurance and pumps as regular glycerol monostearate. Saves calories as well; love glycerol during a cut

Glycerol Monostearate only contains around 10% to 25% Glycerol whereas Hydromax and GlycerPump contain a lot more, normally around 65%. Glycerol Monostearate also causes more stomach upset and there were a lot of reports of it going rancid.

Here is the write up for our GlycerPump capsules and it provides a good breakdown on different types of Glycerol:
