Is PEG 400 safe to drink even in ml amounts?

I got my bottle of PEG-400 from Lemelange and it says something to the effect of if ingested induce vomiting and seek medical care. Is this just a must have disclaimer? Is this stuff safe to drink in ml amounts? Just curious, and also is it at all flamable? thanks for your time. Also thanks to Sledge for great products and great custumer service. He's a stand up guy.
