Is it a bad idea to CUT directly after a PH cycle?

So I'm going to run 8 weeks of 1-andro + 4-andro, with Epiandro on the back 6 weeks as well. It will be a recomp/lean muscle building phase with cardio 2 or 3 days p/week (non lifting days, 30ish minutes, moderate intensity) and hypertrophic style lifting (lots of volume, focused pace, heavy weights)

I'm currently sitting at 220 pounds (6'1") and maybe like 12-14% body fat. I'm looking to drop some body fat and maybe even a couple pounds on this cycle but we'll see what happens with the body weight lol.

After the 2 month cycle I'll be hitting Clomid, a natty test booster, and some ZMA.

Then, maybe 1 or 2 weeks into PCT, my plan was to hit a CUT phase HARD (Intense 30-45 minute weight lifting sessions followed by fast paced 1-2 mile runs 4 or 5 days per week)! Couple that with a lean diet and carbs mainly before and after workouts.

Also, I planned on running everything under the sink (non hormonal/steroidal) to maximize fat loss and preserve muscle

1/2 dose stim fat burner (Black Devil, Primeval Labs)
A non-stim fat burner (Pyretic, Primeval Labs)
L-Carnitine
CLA
HMB
L-Glutamine
Kre-aklyn

...and then I'm pretty much always on fish oil, multi-vitamin, vitamin C, BCAA's, whey and casein protein, and sometimes creatine mono for 2 months on, 2 months off or so

SO!!!! Question is....is it a bad idea to CUT directly after a PH cycle, and with that, actually 1 or 2 weeks INTO the PCT phase?? Do you think this will not allow my body a chance to hold onto the gains from the PH cycle? Or do you think the PCT sups + muscle preserving sups (HMB, BCAA, glutamine) will be enough to keep the (majority) of muscle while I try to really lean out?

Thanks

My short answer is yes, I've asked similar questions and heard responses saying to stay at maintenance for at least a month.

I would suggest staying at maintenance calories or slightly above until you've finished your PCT. As with any PH or Sarm cycle, you want to do everything you can do keep the strength and size you've gained, so cutting half way through PCT would not be ideal.

If it were up to me, I would eat 400-500 above maintenance during the cycle, and drop to 100-200 above maintenance during PCT, and even consider staying at maintenance a few weeks after completing PCT before I started cutting. Also, I would hold off on adding in the thermogenic products and fat burners until after PCT as well. This will ensure your body has recovered properly from the cycle, and it will allow you to track your progress and muscle retention from the cycle better.

Worst thing you could do is cut directly after PH cycle (as others have mentioned). Eat above maintenance while on, during PCT drop that amount a little. I've been following this method (4 weeks into PCT) and haven't lost a single pound...last PH/SARM cycle I put on 25lbs. so I'm extremely happy.

Like said above at least stay at maintenance calories. You want to ride out your pct and try to hold onto your gains and get you levels back to normal then you can run a cut if you wish.

Is there an exception to the rule when the PH run was a cut?

Typically no, but it depends on what you were running. If you were in a deficit while on cycle and lost weight, I would stick with the same intake while on PCT and the few weeks following. If your goal is fat loss for a cycle, then remaining in a deficit would be fine.

Most PH and Sarm cycles are designed for lean bulking or putting on weight, so jumping into a deficit immediately following a bulk cycle would be counterproductive. What cutting cycle were you running?

Currently eating just under maintenance (about - 250cals),running dermatrest, tr3st, sup3r-11 and Sup3r-Shred. I know it's not the typical recommended cut cycle but I'm an engineer and I like to experiment/tinker, so I'm trying to teeter right on the edge of cutting and recomp. So far it's working decent, it's been roughly 4 weeks I'm down only 1lb(239lbs)and I'm down and inch on my belt and body fat is down about 2.5%. Strength has slowly and steadily increased. I eat hardcore keto and water retention is zip.

Most people freak out when they drop weight in PCT cos they assume all the weight they put on during their cycle was pure muscle.

I think there are degrees of risk. Going from a bulk on-cycle to an aggressive kcal deficit during PCT is gonna be more risky than cutting on-cycle and continuing to cut into PCT.

If youre onto it and your kcal deficit isnt too nuts, I dont see why youd necessarily lose more lean mass than any other time. Its not like after exactly 4 weeks of PCT a switch is thrown and you magically become resistant to tissue catabolism.
