Is anyone familiar with 5-Amino 1MQ?

It's a therapeutic peptide taken orally that supposedly inhibits the enzyme NNMT (nicotinamide N-methyltransferase). NNMT is produced by growing fat cells which slows down fat cell metabolism. So basically the fatter you get, the more NNMT you produce, the slower your metabolism, and the vicious cycle repeats. 5-Amino 1MQ is supposed to stop NNMT and put an end to this harmful loop.

There hasn't been much (if any) human studies but just anecdotal evidence from people who have taken it and swore they had noticeable fat loss while increased lean muscle mass. No side effects also.

Well I bit the bullet and bought two bottles of 5-Amino 1 MQ from Kimera Chems. My gosh, it's very expensive at almost $150 a bottle for 60 caps at 50mg each but luckily I had a coupon so I saved some money.

Anyways, after reading such awesome literature on fat metabolism/fat loss on just a 1-month cycle at 100mg dosage with little to no change in diet or exercise, I started it the first day at 50mg, and then week on 100mg and the remaining weeks at 150mg.

Results?

Nothing. No change is bodyweight, no change in body composition, no effect on strength or hypertrophy....nothing. I started at 245lbs and I ended up at 245 lbs. Aside from one or two days when I dropped to 243 lbs and some days when I went up to 247 lbs, I noticed nothing from this peptide. I heard some people say that you may need to increase the dose to 200mg or even 250mg but the cost is just insane. Also by the way I did change my diet, improve my food choices, and was consistent with my training even though this peptide purports to show results without any diet change. I still didn't see any results

I guess this is one of those research supps that looks good on paper and shows more promise for mice rather than humans.
And you can't out-supplement a bad diet.

I was interested in this before. Thanks for the update. Sorry you wasted your money but sometimes this happens
