Iron Legions Salvo

So I ordered 6 bottles to make a transdermal and ran the ingredients through ChatGDP just out of curiosity and one in particular is throwing up major red flags. It is n-N-butylbenzenesulfonamide.

Not a plastic itself but a plasticizer agent (not sure what that means actually) it is shown in rats to cause hindlimb paresis, self biting and coma as well as abnormalities in immunoreactivity.
It also did damage in rabbits to spinal and brain neurons.

I’m assuming these doses were higher and it looks like in the rabbits it was from inoculations and in the rats from the same and in chow. This is being absorbed in the skin daily if not multiple times daily.

The MSDS says something about organ damage but isn’t specific.

Had I known that I wouldn’t have purchased 6 bottles of it and went another route. I’m pretty livid honestly but can someone tell me I am overreacting and show or tell me why? I know there is a chance I am making a mountain out of a mole hole but if that’s the case I’d like to know why I am and how I can be sure I am safe from the substance.

I’m not trying to fear monger or crap on the company or destroy anyone’s livelihood. I just want to know if this is safe or not because I plan to use it for at least 4 months.

Have you emailed Iron Legion about this?

I can't speak for other companies, but I'll tag the owner here for you @delsolrob

When you delve into looking at things like this, you have to look into if the negative effects you're finding relate to it being taken orally, being inhaled, etc.

For example, people that homebrew AAS frequently use DMSO for their td, but if taken orally DMSO can cause liver damage or even liver failure. So think about that thought process - people on AAS frequently use DMSO for td with their liver damaging things their using, but if the ingredient is used orally it can cause liver failure - just giving you an example of how it can be very, very different.

As for Salvo, its been used by people on here for years and I've never heard of anyone having an issue with it.

I haven't ever researched this myself and normally I would try to before answering, but I don't have time to with the Cyber Week sales going on. I just wanted to reply to help ease your mind and also tag Rob, who doesn't get on every day but will answer you when he can I'm sure. But you should also email him as that's normally the best and quickest way to get answers from a company.

I hope this helps.

I am 1000% open to that idea. The dose in the rats was pretty high. Probably exponentially higher than the exposure from this. This may not even penetrate the skin barrier. No idea. Was hoping someone knew more than I did. Thanks for responding!

Pharmacy student here
I can't talk about that specific ingredient, but plasticizers are added to many drugs and supplements. They're added to add softness and flexibility to products. They're generally fine

Sorry, I'm slammed and only able to hop on for a few minutes.

I'm not sure why Jake used that verbiage when creating the ingredient list for the carrier.

the common name of the ingredient in cosmetics you're referencing is Thiazone - this is an effective and common penetration enhancer.

i have used long term salvo at around 3ml daily intermittent for 7 years or more and have no problems.
