Hi there,

I recently got my bloodwork done and the results are attached here. Been suffering from low libido......anyone have any thoughts on this? Thanks

Nothing showing.

Sorry, I tried to paste it in below. Sorry for the formatting. Might not all be relevant but wanted to put in for completeness. Thanks.

UREA 8.4 2.5 - 8.10 mmol/L
CREATININE
CREATININE 117 60 - 110.00 umol/L
eGFR 72 60 - 99999.99 mL

CALCIUM 2.49 2.20 - 2.65 mmol/L
PHOSPHORUS 1.27 0.80 - 1.45 mmol/L
MAGNESIUM 0.91 0.65 - 1.05 mmol/L
PROTEIN 76 60 - 80.00 g/L
ALBUMIN 50 35 - 52.00 g/L
CHOLESTEROL 4.61 <= 5.19 mmol/L
TRIGLYCERIDES 0.87 <= 1.69 mmol/L
HDL CHOLESTEROL 2.22 1 - 99999.00 mmol/L

FERRITIN 176 24 - 453.00 ug/L
CK 150 <= 224.9 U/L
GGT 15 N <= 59.99 U/L
AST 25 N <= 36.99 U/L
ALT 15 N <= 45.99 U/L
TSH 1.92 N 0.35 - 5.00 mIU/L
LH 3 N 2 - 9.00 IU/L
FSH 3 N 2 - 12.00 IU/L

Prolactin 19 >17.99 ug/L
Free Testosterone 418 196 - 636 pmol/L

I guess the key ones are:

TSH 1.92 ---------> (range of 0.35 - 5.00 mIU/L)
LH 3 --------------> (range of 2 - 9.00 IU/L)
FSH 3 -------------------> (range of 2 - 12.00 IU/L)

Prolactin 19 ---------> (range of >17.99 ug/L)
Free Testosterone 418 -----------> (range of 196 - 636 pmol/L)

At the moment I am not taking anything. I do have a 3rd grade varicocele on my left side.

I would say I have a somewhat mild / moderate case of ED......can get the equipment to work but takes awhile to get there and fades very fast (even if I'm taking Cialis or Viagra). Libido has also really slowed down

What's your estradiol at? DHEA-S? It looks like lots of values are missing or perhaps this just wasn't a comprehensive blood panel.

I hear you....I guess I'm just in a rush to find a solution

Rather than risking a wrong diagnosis, I'll stick with just making changes to my diet and see what the doc says as a starting point......will figure out where to go from there

Consider having varicocele surgery. Is it painful? Studies have shown that varicocelectomies significantly increase testosterone, increase libido and erection strength. The best type is supposedly microsurgery inguinal.

I'm in a similar situation to you, but mine crashed from tiger to dead in 24 hours or less. Still no explanation from the doctors/specialists, they refuse to verify anything. I have a varicocele which they called small, and prolactin levels slightly above the normal range, like yours. Mine happened 11 months ago.
