international shipping - cheaper USPS options gone?

I usually prefer USPS for intl. shipping, as the state postal system has the lowest customs procedure fees in my country.

I only get the more expensive USPS options at checkout however. The only cheapish option is Fedex.
Fedex customs procedure has been a complicated and expensive experience for me in the past.

Are the lower-cost USPS options gone for good?

No you should be able to use USPS first class intl up to 4lbs anything over will be USPS priority or as you mention Fedex intl mail service for $7.95

I tried an order the other day and it gave me 7.95 shipping to Canada as well, which is amazing.

I've never paid customs when NP shipped via fedex (I'm in Europe). However I pay everytime I get a package via USPS/DHL.

I guess I went above 4 lbs. Thankfully, Fedex Estonia says they have simplified their customs procedure, so I went with the wonderfully affordable Fedex $7.95
