Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this.
Coffee, hunger, and peptide YY. (2012)
^^ Search that, can't post links yet.
I wanted to post this because a lot of people here take caffeine as a fat burner or as a decent appetite suppressant, this study was interesting in that decaf coffee resulted in lower hunger levels and higher plasma PYY than placebo and other caffeine-containing drinks (caffeinated coffee and a caffeine solution).
I didn't know this before reading the study but apparently Peptide YY has an important role for energy homeostasis by balancing food intake - obese people secrete less PYY than lean people.
Obviously a negative of the study is only 11 subjects were used.
