Hey guys,
Have any of you had any experience with them before? this is probably a broad question, but I do not know what to do... I have been physically and mentally "unwell" for a few years now, never been able to isolate what the problem was, been to so many GP's but the bloods always turn up fine.
My mum has hashimotos thyroid disease and been seeing our local GP for it for awhile, but never really got it under control, recently she has decided to go see an integrated DR and the guy was appalled and explained how many normal GPs and general specialists (we have been to a so called specialist centre and they were just as useless as the gp's) will not check T3 and T4 and often miss key information.
It is very expensive to see this guy 280 bucks for the hour, that is AUD so a bit less for you americans haha. I don't know what I want from this thread, maybe just some stories of Integrated DRs helping you out where General practitioners couldnt? I am just so over hearing "Why don't know what is going on"
Some of my symptoms;
Anxiety
Depression
Stomach Pain
Fatigue
Brain Fog
Memory Loss
Obsessiveness
Joint Pain
Food Sensitivity - especially fatty foods absolutely destroys my stomach
bloating
head aches
Low blood pressure
Eye sight issues- comes at goes, sometimes feels like something is being pulled over the sides of my eyes blurring it a bit, but then it goes away
Excessive weight loss- I have lost 12kgs in the past 6-8 weeks without changing anything, i feel like a bit is muscle too
Extreme hunger
No appetite
heart burn/indigestion
I have seen someone to talk about my issues and stuff like that, doesn't help... tried self help books, activities all that kind of stuff, but i am always just so tired.
