Insulin Activity Chart

For those who may be thinking of using 'slin for anabolic purpose.. This chart shows the duration of the many blends of Humulin.. I found the chart on anabolicboard.. :)

This chart doesn't show Humalog, which is an insulin analogue.
Remember kids, use the R, or you'll be up all night pounding cookies and soda..

EDIT: It does have Humulin N on there, my bad! :D

Good point, Matt! :D

Seriously, a friend of mine who is diabetic told me about this one scare he had with Humulin-N.. He took it sub-q in the morning, all day he would have black-outs, and snap out when he ate something.. Waking up in the middle of the night to find that you can't see, then struggling to get a honeybun to keep you alive is not fun..

Those who may take the plunge, be carefull.. :)

You've got Humalog and Humulin-N mixed up. Humalog is fast acting, even more so than -R, it just requires a prescription. If you can get Humalog that would be a safer choice, reacts within fifteen peaks around 1 hour and gone by about 3 hours.

I thought you meant that Humalog and Humulin N were the same thing.
Sorry for this misinterpretation:D

Actually, I edited that twice, since I originally posted that Humalog and Humulin-N were not on there.. I read it again, and noticed N was on the chart.. :)

No harm, no foul.. ;)
