injection with some blood on drawback?

Ok, I always inject into my quads. Anyway, tonight I injected into my right quad and it hurt, I drew back on the plunger and I saw blood. I thought well, I must have hit a vein, so I pulled it out. I tried a second time in a different spot, drew back, blood again. It took me three times to freakin inject this ****, and now my leg is sore as hell... I've always heard that if you draw back on the plunger and blood comes thru, you need to start over because you've hit a vein. Is that always true? I did my leg routine last night, but that was 24 hours ago, I wasn't sure if that would have made any difference? When I inject it never hurts, but tonight it did. If that happens again and I have to keep re-pinning myself I might just go back to Testim lol 20 gauge needles blow
 
That's a little weird that you seem to have hit a vein 3 times. Also 20 ga. Needle is a damn big one to inject with I've used 22 and its meh and 25 takes a while to inject and you don't even feel anything. Also if you're just starting injections your legs are gonna hurt like **** after the injections but that's only the first 1 time or so per muscle. As for reinjecting the blood, I wouldn't really worry about it.

Why you use insulin ones in your thigh :)
 
That's what was recommended/prescribed to use by my doctor. I have no fat on quads and it seems to be working fine (haven't had labs confirming yet). I think I could probably use 1/2" on quads and be good.

I load with big needle dump it into the insulin pin and pop the cap back on your good to go
 
Yeah I draw with a 22G 1.5" then switch to 25G 5/8". I picked up some insulin pins and will be trying it out.

The entire time I've been shoving that 20g x 1 needle all the way into my quad.. haha Didn't realize it only needs to go about half way in. Oh well, I never just push it in, I just throw it in like a dart. I stopped the 50mg twice a week and went back to the 100mg twice a week, BIG difference! I feel sooooo much better, the 50mg twice a week just wasn't cutting it.


Ok check this out, I'm not sure why this happens but when I would use 50mg twice a week I would get itchy nipples, but when I use 100mg twice a week I have no problem? No itchy nips and I feel great. Why would that be?

Could be a symptomatic, body still may be adjusting to HRT..
