Not much issue with leaking either. I was wondering if I should use the 5/8 instead for my delts but because I can't z track I figured deeper the better

Rotate with your delts and use a f#ck load of cream or bio-oil for the scar tisue and marks, the pain can also come from inflamation and muscle tension in the muscle so try stretching and foamroler to clear it
