Information on novoplex by promatrix

I found this on another forum. Personally I wouldnt see it as the same but im not a chemist or doctor so...

(Z)-2-[4-(1,2-Diphenylbut-1-enyl)phenoxy]-N,N-dimethylethylamine citrate = Tamoxifen Citrate(nolva)

But nolvadex by promatrix looks like this
(Z)- Ethanamino, 2-(4-(1,2-diphenyl-1-butenyl)Phenoxy)-N,N-dimethyl-one-glycol.

"From what I can tell, you're looking at a product similar to, but not the same as, tamoxifen. However, because of the 1-glycol moiety, I'd think its binding to the estrogen receptor might be slightly impaired - just a shot in the dark. Or, it may potentially have more of a SERM effect like clomiphene due to a reactive moiety in the 1-position pocket.

Personally, I'd stick with tamoxifen."
