Impotency

Steroids are wonderful. Practically all side effects are temporary (other than jaundice, cancer and impotency, off the top of my head- all rare) but I was wondering have steroids made anyone on here impotent who cycled correctly (no longer than 3 months-my rule) and used a proper pct every time (atleast a SERM if not hcg) and one last idea, I have read 60% of highschool football players take gear before graduating, and in colledge it's 80, (what do u think the pros are) but can anyone tell me WITH PERSONAL EXPERIENCE of horror stories or later problems from takeing to young. BTW I think you should get to where u can naturally b4 takeing gear.(whoo... b4 I start another war on WHY KIDS SHOULDENT TAKE STEROIDS B4 21) Just for the record though-I did, and I'm fine, yes bloodwork. I think kids shouldn't take steroids not because they're unsafe for them, but most don't and haven't dieted and trained properly yet and are just trying to make it easy.

Not impotent but when I'm shutting down I'm definately half the man I used to be. But it's just something you deal with temporarely.I always bounce back and become a BEAST again.

Is hard to find someone 100% impotent after a cycle, but its still possible. When you run long cycle (8+ weeks) and specially when you take high doses of 19nor compounds, like tren and deca, your libido after cycle will fall to the ground.

When you run HCG or proviron on PCT the libido seens to fine, but personally i dont use this drugs. I think proviron is a poor choice and HCG is pretty hard to get where I live. Personally I always have some cialis or viagra pills, and pop it when I think im in trouble. After PCT or even before PCT ends the libido gets back to normal and no pills are needed anymore.

Jaundice would be temporary....its essentially superficial inflammation of the liver...... I have NEVER even remotely seen anything that indicated steroids could cause cancer...(anything scientific)....

but I was wondering have steroids made anyone on here impotent who cycled correctly

This is probably arguing semantics, but "impotent" isnt the correct term...Yes, it can and will affect the libido, and can even cause erectile problems for some, but it would be EXTREMELY RARE that it caused impotency, even in abusers.

Ya... 19nor steroids dominated my libido. Never, ever again. I did bounce back after 3 weeks though.

We have two cases of tumor. One liver tumor with anadrol and a testicular tumor with turinabol. But both runned a pretty much long cycle, like 5 years without a pause, and taking high doses like 100mg of tbol.

who is we and what documentation do you have that the steroid actually caused the cancer?

The liver tumor I get reading Anabolics 2006, the testicular tumor you can check here:

Intratesticular leiomyosarcoma in a young man after high dose doping with Oral-Turinabol: a case report. Cancer. 1999 Oct 15;86(8):1571-5

are you sure it wasnt a lesion on the liver it was actually a tumor? and what proof do they offer that it was the steroids that actually cuased this....thats like saying i was taking creatine when i had my heart attack creatine must have caused it...just because they ewere on steroids and mabyy even using them stupidly doesnt mean the gear caused cancer...

I totally agree with mooch...Of course, its entirely possible, but not likely....and there is not a direct correllation in either of the cases you mention.

Man... imagine yourself taking 100mg tbol per day for 5 years. Imagine yourself taking 200mg anadrol per day for 8 years. Maybe the gear is not the vilan, at least not the only one, but it certainly raises the odds or even cause cancer alone.

To say that steroids cause cancer is to say eating steak caused my cancer, it can't be proved it's a scare tactic.

i have alot of friends that did a stretch in prison and any of them that have served over 3 years and chose to lift were all benching 350+ and the ones that served more time were insanley strong, these boys are strong all the way around, my friend Rossi spent like 8 years and came out benching 450 with a huge neck arms legs and attitude, he's italian. but everyone has the potential to get way strong and big if you have the mental intensity and diet discipline. those guys in prison just had nothing better to do.

my friend rossi said it takes 5 years of steady training to get a natural thickness that will always stick with ya even if you lift or not. thats good patience if someone waits till then, as for me ive been on and off for years lifting but never over a year straight power training. if i spent 5 years straight power training i probably would be happy with my strength and size. but for now im choosing gear.

O by the way holy the reason i said jaundice could be permanent is u could die if your an idiot. respect the gear and it will respect you back.

say basically you are taking the easy way out.... i see

i can see how this could chew holes like swiss cheese in your liver and destroy your lipids and make you lose your hair and have horrible acne and high blood pressure and probably give you a heart attack...but i just cant see how it could cause cancer....this is all conjecture on your side...

and dude im tired of telling you this...you are so not ready....if you cant maintain size before gear how are you goin g to maintain the gains you get from steroids...

No, it's like saying "I was taking creatine when I got a kidney infection and had complete renal failure." It's applicable because creatine DOES have a direct effect on the renal system- under the right circumstances (and given a million other things that COULD cause renal failure) creatine could be blamed and enough evidence constructed to suggest creatine could be the culprit. However, one could play devils advocate, as you are right now, and suggest that there's no scientific proof that creatine could have caused the renal failure. Theoretically, if creatine did, without a doubt cause renal failure in an otherwise healthy patient, how could researchers definitively PROVE that it did, without you suggesting A) an underlying condition, or B) another substance or catalyst? It's simply impossible.

The argument you're suggesting is the same argument lobbyists have been using to keep cigarettes legal. You'll never, ever definitively PROVE that something causes cancer, simply because a substances isn't inherently cancerous- cigarettes increase the risk of cancer, alcoholism increases the risk of cirrhosis and liver disease, leading to cancer. Methylated steroid abuse increases the risk of cirrhosis and liver disease, leading to cancer. We know that the toxin causes X amount of variables to increase, but we can't actually PROVE that the substance causes cancer.

Another example: The fast food industry has argued that you cannot definitively PROVE that their food is the culprit to America’s obesity and heart disease issues. They simply suggest that America's caloric intake and pre-disposition to heart disease is the cause of obesity and heart disease, and that their food plays a neutral role in something they cannot control- a person's choice to eat too many calories, and a persons pre-determined health disposition.

Face it. There's no way to PROVE that something causes cancer, without someone coming along and disproving your hypothesis by simply questioning your manner of conclusion. Refer to the movie "Thank You for Smoking" for more insight. Let's just agree that cigarette use can cause cancer, and methylated steroids can cause liver disease or cancer as well. We know the "proof" is there, but we're questioning the validity of the evidence because we think it's flawed, or we think it's propaganda. It isn't. These things really do have the ability to cause cancer. It's our job to, instead of question the research, USE the research to our advantage and be mindful of the effects that certain steroids can have.

So you're suggesting that all of the variables exist to cause liver disease, thereby leading to cancer- Cirrhosis, mineral retention, jaundice, ruined cholesterol, edema/fluid retention, fatty liver, imparied function, etc. but there is absolutely no way that these symptoms could, in any way lead to an increased risk of cancer? Referring back to my original suggestion that one can argue that cigarettes cause all of the problems associated with the lungs and respritory system (as proven by the American lung association) but these medical conditions are NOT associated with cancer. This conclusion is absolutely asinie. There's more than enough evidence to suggest that the issues caused by cigarettes (and methylated, oral steroids) are huge variables in the increased incidence of cancer in user's Vs. Non-users.

Disclaimer: This isn't a blanket argument. I understand that SOME research is absolutely misconstrued- like Jose` Conseco having brain-tumors because he took steroids. This refers to the medical literature that proves, with actual physical proof (blood tests, liver autopsy, etc) that certain steroids DO cause an increase in cancer under the right circumstances. I'm NOT knocking you at all. I simply feel that you're on the OTHER end of the "blanket argument" and I hope to increase understanding in some way of how research is concluded on this topic.

so what youve done here is completely change what i said and then use that agianst me in an argument about creatine causing renal failure....hmmm...dont ever join the debate team because you would lose points for that one...

i agree that its not the fast food industries fault that your fat...its your own fault for eating the food...they dont make you eat it...

so...out of this whole thing you have done nothing to prove your point...youve taken two cases of steroid users out of how many million? and said steroids cause cancer....i agree that steroids can be dangerous....but your accusations are infammatory and unfounded...

Please, lets not insult each other. I'm willing to respect your opinion, and you're insulting me over the net? I'll try to clarify what I'm suggesting below, but if you don't act like a reasonable grown adult, I'll bow out of this discussion, since you seem to be more interested in name-calling.

Paragraph 1: I think you've misunderstood my intentions. You paralleled steroids and a liver tumor, with creatine and a heart attack- they're, for the most part, inaccurate analogies. I simply changed your analogy for accuracy- the point wasn't to manipulate your words and use them against you to suggest you said something that you didn't, it was to make the analogy more accurate. My goal was to use two things that could reasonably be blamed for a medical condition existing, and explain that while the variables in this diagnosis could be examined, one cannot conclusively suggest that either compound was the definite cause of the diagnosis. Instead, one is always capable of suggesting an underlying condition or suggesting a million other variables could have been the cause.

Paragraph 2: We agree- excellent. My point was to suggest that research can prove a compound causes a number of variables to increase the risk of cancer, but cannot prove, definitively that a given compound caused the cancer.

Paragraph 3: ??? You're not good with analogies, I take it.

I'm not sure that I said that "steroids cause cancer", but rather, I've claimed that methylated, oral steroids can increase the risk-factors that lead to cancer. I've taken two controversial issues and dissected their arguments, using them as an argumentitive analogy- you didn't understand my intentions so I will try to avoid using analogies in the future.

you sir just didnt understand my analogy....i will try not to use them in the future as well since this seems to be confusing you so much....my point was that just like their is no correlation between creatine use and a heart attack...no one can prove that there is a correlation between steroids and cancer...you then changed my analogy because you didnt understand it and you tried to make it fit your own views....please dont do this in the future...its aggravating...

i am very good with analogies...your just did not fit the context of our argument...

...if you look at the last para of you original statement you will see that you did indeed say that "these things really do have the ability to cause cancer"....i say...show me the proof...again more unfounded and inflamatory statements

You actually think you could even begin to think about 200mg anadrol/day for 8 yrs and not be dead from liver failure long before 8 yrs is up?
No cancer though..........

Yes, brother, its just what i think. Its is what scientific community says, based on clinical cases and sicentific studies. Why do you think you will be dead from liver failure after 200mg/day for 8 years? Do you have a clinical case to prove your point?
