There is CLEARLY an S on the molecular structure on the Epistane bottle (I'm looking at it right now). How you missed that, I don't understand.
One sulfur molecule per mole of Epistane.
Epi has a molecular weight in the 300 range, I think. That would mean sulfur makes up 16/300 (around a half a mole %).
You could convert the 10 mgs/cap to moles (it will be tiny) of Epi and then multiply by the mole % Sulfur. It will be small.
Not sure of your tolerance though - concentration is key in determining symptoms.

Yeah if you are allergic to it be careful. In some cases there could be some unreacted free sulfur in there as well. I believe on the warning we stated that if you are allergic to sulfur you should not take the Epistane. I only say this because you should take it at your own risk at this point.
JMH is right the % is very low. The MW is ~320 g/mol. If you use 10mg as the weight you want to test then you can say that there are 3.125e-5 moles of the compound and therefore 3.125e-5 moles of sulfur as well. Converting moles of sulfur back to grams we can multiply 32g/mol (sulfur) to 3.125e-5 moles of sulfur. Mole units cancel and you get 1mg of sulfur per 10mg of of Epistane. You can also say that since sulfur is 32g/mol and the total weight of the product is 320g/mol that sulfur makes up 10% of the weight of the molecule.
Now to the extent of how sensitive you are to the sulfur you can't really tell. Not sure how much sulfur you have to have to feel the allergic reaction.
PS- We can tell JMH's chemistry is getting rusty because he used 16 as the molecular weight instead of 32. 16 would be the atomic number

Great... thanks for answering my qustions
It has been well over 18 years since I have taken Sulfur because of an allergic reaction... I think I will try the dose of 10mg for 5-6 days... for all I know I may NOT react poorly to Sulfur at this point... but, at the first signs of an allergic reation, I'll discontinue

You tried the X-Dream?! How did ya like it!!!???
Also you can bump up the dosage until you feel the allergic reaction. 10mg won't do a whole lot for muscle gains at first but it will let you gauge whether you are having an allergic reaction at least.

I will give the board a complete 16 man log later this week... but I loved it! I'm putting melatonin to "sleep" lol
I also figured out that I am not allergic to the sulfur in your product, rather I am allergic to Antibiotic sulfonamides. I researched it a bit more... and of course called my father-in-law which is a reitired chem doc at Georgia Tech...

Glad you liked the X-Dream! I have been waiting a while to hear feedback from people on the board. We have been testing this stuff for months and LOVE it ourselves. What dosage did you take?

Yes, I will be logging sometime this week. I am currently at mid-term, and am studying/teaching my butt off right now
I am very exited about EPISTANE, as well as X-Dream(which truthfully speaking, I have not slept as good as I did last night since I was a teen...) GREAT STUFF! It has to be the "must have" supplement of the year!
