i saw this on the news yesterday, it is so pointless. is it illegal to kill an animal and eat it?
damn it if i felt bad for every chicken i ate...

Of course he does..people are suckers. There was another guy..last year I think, who put up a webpage for people to donate money to help him get out of debit. He needed like 10K he raised 50K or some such insane money.
 
They don't collect as much money as they want you to think. They exaggerate those numbers so people think that others donated.
