I guarantee it wouldn't be hard to find people who would be lining up to get compensated to run a free extended length cycle of gear at ergogenic doses under a physician's supervision along with free bloodwork and such. Hell, you could probly find enough people for a study like that on this board alone.Lol. They should've asked that doctor
"So, how about obesity? What are the health risks of that? Maybe we should ban junk food. We can't have anyone out there playing dangerous russian roulette with a Big Mac... You fat ass."
Funny how he said it wasn't worth running a long term study on steroid use because of the dangers, even though there are clearly already thousands of people out there running their own and doing fine.
a bit off track but are you sure that's a good idea? kinda highlighting yourself IMO.its now in my aim buddy info so anyone who knows me sees it.
Not going to be a dick or anything, but they are organic chemical compounds (aka man-made and far from natural with the exception of Test depending on how you look at it)like i said this show shut up all the critics . steroids being bad for you is all bs. Steroids are natural herbs that grow and help us grow. minus well ban all herbal medication because their is no study that proves that it works and can be harmful.
Their is zero proof steroids are bad for you. infact viagra is worse that is how clinton popped a boner finally when monica lewisinkiy gave him head
i love this video and i think someone should email to george w bush and congress to prove our point. cocaine and cyrstal meth kills way more drunk driving kills way more. Looking for nucleur weapons of mass destruction and sending your army kills way more.
Steriods are supplement that people use to grow nothing wrong with that.
Yeah, just as with everything just about AAS is a double edged sword but i do believe used properly they can be much more useful than harmfulBlaze the point he was trying to make is a valid one, that UNDER proper medical care AAS can be safe and very effective. If you every look up some of the OTC drugs they have more side effects than test. but the test is illegal as hell and the OTC, every Tom, Dick, and Harry can buy and abuse. Just doesn't seem right or smart. BTW, using normal HRT, most guys feel more mellow not agressive.
This is probably going to sound like a hate post. It's not. so don't take it personally.steroids definitely have some very real dangers. The reason they are controlled where as something like APAP isn't is because they ahve a much higher risk for abuse.
In my opinion the greatest risk steroids pose is to cardiovascular health. Just look at the incidence of CVD in men vs women from age 30-50. This is an effect that would probably show up years later and is likely overlooked. Most guys aren't thinking about the steroid cycle they ran at age 21 when they are getting their cardiac cath at age 40...just things to think about.
The problem with researching steroid safety is that the current evidence suggest there is a high potential for adverse effects so no ethics board would or should approve such a study.
Granted, one cycle probably isn't going to kill you, but how many people do just one cycle? Also, for every one steroid user that has a thoughtful well planned out cycle that takes some measures to stay healthy there are dozens more who don't know what they are doing and setting themselves up for disaster. These are just the facts of life. Certain personalities are attracted to certain drugs...
Not being a wet blanket, but just giving some other things to think about other than doctors and the FDA want to kill you.
No offense taken! Disscusion is important. This is probably going to sound like a hate post. It's not. so don't take it personally.
If steroid use is so horrible and dangerous, why are Schwarzenegger, Ferrigno, Franco Columbo, Ed Korney(age74), and Mike Katz still above ground. All of these guys took GARGANTUAN amounts of steroids, orals included, which happen to be the most toxic of the bunch.
Don't feed into the alarmist fear tactics being used as a diversion from real issues that are really fouling America up.
Steroids can be dangerous, I will give you that, but not nearly as hazardous as legal vices such as: smoking, drinking, or even having a piss-poor diet.
And steroids are illegal, sorry dude I don't understand why. Something is wrong with this picture.
Does our government want us to be fat, dumb, and lazy? Or maybe it's a conspiracy of the media to keep us glued to their shitty programming that will rot your brain and kill your body through sloth. I'm sure I'm stretching it here, but, like I said something wrong with this picture.
I'm kind of confused on the whole thing....
"keep the beer but get rid of the smokes....they do NOTHING for you except Kill!!!
I completely agree. Criminalization of AAS was never about health risks. If it were, then dozens of other available compounds would have been put higher on the agenda. AAS are illegal because they are effective. Period. And to address the issue a few bro's brought up about the fact that many users DONT know how to use AAS safely and/or effectively. I ask... "Who's fault is that?" If legislators werent so bent on punishing anyone having anything to do with AAS then safe effective protocol's could be common knowledge by now, and not the taboo, in the trenches study endeavor it is today. Theyve essentially CREATED the scenario wich they are using to justify criminalization! Its crazy.Good points (both). I'd just like to add that the problem is that there aren't( and probably won't be) any definitive human studies. I have seen a number of studies that show anabolic steroids being good for heart health as well as bad. I do not believe they are without risks, but I by no means accept the medias b.s.
I feel it comes down to a combination of piss poor journalism, and politics. The limited studies that we do have just don't back up the claims that they are killing people. And the fact is they weren't even banned because they're dangerous- only to help level the playing field for a senators kid playing college ball. I'm all for keeping them out of kids hands- but I feel that is the parents responsibilty to educate them and help them to make the right choices. Kids don't have access to the right info on the topic, just propaganda and scare tactics. The attention they get in the media has a negative effect on kids IMO. For example, most kids are seeing pro athletes in these "scandals". Chances are the only message they're getting is "If I want to be a pro, I gotta juice." But the biggest problem I have with the whole thing is the hypocrisy of it all. Thousands die every year from tobacco/alchohol related causes. Last year- 0 deaths DIRECTLY attributed to roids, yet that's where the powers at be focus they're attention, using kids as the reason. That's not a government caring about it's people-that's a government with an agenda.
The piss poor journalism is the biggest factor in my opinion, not just with steroids but with all of prohibition. Bump for that though, people rarely blame the media for doing little more than repeating government propaganda when their role in perpetuating myths about steroids and other drugs runs much deeper.I feel it comes down to a combination of piss poor journalism, and politics.
