I work for a Spring Break company and the current body that I have is not cutting it! I use to be a wrestler and I know how to lose weight that way but not now that I'm away from that atmosphere. My job requires me to be on the road a month or more at a time. So my question is what do I do? I'm 25 yrs old 6'3" 286 lbs. and I'm looking to get back into my old body 225 lbs would be ideal but I find my self trapped in airplanes and hotels. Can you please help me?

By the way the most important thing is my health! Last year around Christmas I was 315... so its hard but I need to lose this extra baggage

My Diet

What is your diet like? How about your current workout routine?

First off thanks for the reply,

my diet is nothing special... at all! I to make it as simple as possible because i live out of a hotel and I'm walking around campuses all day:

Morning: yogurt cup, fruit cup, hot oatmeal or raisin brand cereal , one cup of OJ and prolly 3 cups of black coffee with splenda

Lunch: this really depends on where I am at, I try to stick with tuna/mustard and 12 grain bread or whole wheat, One sandwich and just eat the rest of the tuna in the packet. I also try to eat some fruits (apples mostly) throughout the day and veggies (carrots) too

Dinner: I find myself eating the same as lunch sometimes two sandwiches or subway or even pita pit, because i do not have access to a kitchen to cook my meals, this is where I find myself hurting the most, I love cooked meals, and I have even fell to wendy's when I'm real desperate. Yeah I know thats real bad!

My work outs are simple:
Cardio 1-2 miles on the tred (sometimes to break it up I will put the machine up to 15 incline and bust out one mile at a level 4 speed, and then I would slam out a mile at 5 1/2 or 6 level.

then I always do 200 sit ups and then I do 100 push ups, this is split up between both things.

Yeah this is pretty much what I can do at hotels, but sometimes I get the pleasure to be at a school that has a Ballys near by (membership) so I usually hit the weights hard cause I never know when I can do it again,

my biggest problem since I have been out of college for the past two years is finding a plan that works best for me... sports work outs are not for sculpting a body or becoming more healthier when you are working 60hrs a week LOL.

Any thoughts!?

Velocity Diet could work quite well considering exercise is limited and cooking your own food seems to be an issue. Use a high dose fish oil like 40-50g/day.

You can do more bodyweight exercises than that. There are hindu squats, regular bodyweight squats, hindu pushups, dive bombers, hyperextensions, leg raises, etc.

why such a high dose on the fish oil?? I have heard that mega dosing fish oil can help with fat loss, but the diet alone should be sufficient to decrease body fat. I think a high concentrated fish oil would work fine once a day like Carlson's, in addition use flax seeds in the shakes, for some healthy fatty acids and a nice dosage of fiber

That's true, and on the flip side you have to make sure the diet is high enough in fat so you don't just turn into a protein burning machine.

Regular fish oil and cod liver oil (what I use) is mostly a MUFA, so you can get a good amount of fat in, but that fat you are taking in does amazing things in high doses, too.

Fresh ground flax is a nice addition health-wise since the specific fats and lignans in it do different things than in fish oil. Fish oil helps turn your body into a fat burning machine by modulating genes while at the same time providing adequate fat intake to keep you in fat burning mode.

I like the idea of DCP plus a thermogenic along with this diet. This is to liberate body fat (thermo) and then burn it off efficiently (DCP and also the fish oil).
