I need advice re. ALCAR and HMB

Stats: 5'8", 170 lbs, ~10% bf
Long-term goal: Decrease bf w/out losing muscle.

I'm currently following this intake schedule:
upon rising: whey
breakfast: multi-vit, Invalid Link Removed, Invalid Link Removed
pre-workout/during workout: Invalid Link Removed
post-workout: whey
lunch: Invalid Link Removed
dinner: Invalid Link Removed, Invalid Link Removed

I'm writing because I just received the following bulk powders in the mail today, and I'm looking for any advice on incorporating them into my daily routine:
ALCAR (75 gms)
Invalid Link Removed (150 gms)

For example, what should I mix them in, how much should I take, should I take them separately, etc.

Also, if you feel that my current routine needs adjustments, please chime in too.

P.S. FYI, I'm intentionally avoiding certain fat-burning supps (eg, Invalid Link Removed) b/c they disrupt my sleep.
 
For the HMB, I would do this:
  • 6 AM (Pre-workout) - 500 mg
  • 7 AM (Post workout) - 500 mg
  • 11 AM - 500 mg
  • 3 PM - 500 mg
  • 7 PM - 500 mg
  • 10 PM (Bedtime) - 500 mg
Be warned it tastes like shiznit!

Thanks D! I'm a little concerned, though--my HMB doesn't taste like anything when I mix it w/ water. Should I be concerned? (I got my supply from bulknut.)

Thank goodness it doesn't taste like Clout--I have a hard time throwing that stuff down my throat. :)
 
HMB works best with creatine. Get some CEE.

Bobo's stack had like 3 grams of both CEE and HMB pre and post-WO.

I trust BN's quality so I wouldn't worry. I got mine from Black Star Labs back in the day. Primaforce recently released HMB caps, so I'll be switching to that soon.

I agree with this along with another 3 gram dose either in the morning or right before bed.
 
3g a day of HMB does not do much for most people. 5 to 6g a day gives me good strength gains. The only problem I have with it is HMB supresses my appatite.
